Why is Tavares being put up on this pedestal as if he's Crosby?

Kessel and JVR instantly make the Isles better than just having Tavares. Both signed long term, one to a team friendly contract. I think that's fair value.

Ageed, they are pieces to trade but neither one of them are going to be the zomg factor that you need if a team is trading for Tavares.

And you will need some quality wow factors if you trade for him.

A bunch of average players that may or may not have a career year one day that is equal to what JT does now is not going to do it.

If it was leaked that the Leafs were offering Kadri, JVR, Gardiner and a second for JT, there is no doubt that you would have 28 other teams offering more in a heartbeat.
