So the appropriate act by Jon Scott, after Kessel 2-handed him, would have been for Scott to take several 2-handed swings at Kessel's face, and only miss 3 preseason games? That's what you're saying?

I am not saying anything about appropriate responses to any actions. I think what Kessel did with his stick was at least as bad, even worse than what lupul just did. I think Kessel did get off lightly with only missing 3 pre season games.

My favorite times in life were when I basically spent three summers in Toronto. Being an avid hockey fan before a specific team fan, Toronto really is the center of the hockey existence.

Not too mention, have you see the Bruins, Wings and Oilers comment boards? Rather dead.

Nonis as of late, maybe even Burke (although, with his time with the Ducks). But, yeah, I see where you're going with this. I was very happy to see Winnipeg given another team, though and hope the expansion continues north of the border.

no Canadian teams are elite. none are even close to being elite. MAYBE Vancouver, but they're trending down as the Sedins age after years of poor drafting. and the only team with a GM who has any record of success is Calgary. but he's far removed from that success.

It's probably because I am a Sox fan....

But the tradition is rich in that city. People are proud, and love to party. The history, even outside of sports, is as interesting, if not more interesting than Toronto could even compare with.
Don't get me wrong, Toronto is a cool city, just not my cup of tea.
