Remember when Toronto had 10 cm of snow and they needed to call the army for help?

I think the idea is that we will continue to get better without making dumb trades that deplete our prospect pool. - blarneylad
As it is now they're trying to get better by not making trades, drafting poorly and giving bad contracts. |

There used to be this little part of me that always cheered for Finland, mostly because of Koivu and the fact that I like an underdog...

It hasn't been two seasons yet.
Yet we've gone from last in the East two years ago to straight to the playoffs and on pace for the playoffs again.
Desharnais was a terrible contract as was Briere. Briere was just a stop gap that didn't require losing any assets. He has been a disappointment for sure. Oh well at least Bergevin didn't saddle the team with him for 4 years.
The team is drafting poorly? Galchenyuk...De La Rose, Collberg, Reway all had good WJC as did Lehkonen and Fucale. |

Teemu making it for a 6th straight time is quite impressive. |

I'm not disappointed by Brière. With the amount of small forwards on the Habs it was obvious that he didn't have a place on that lineup.
Alright, drafting has been "OK". But I'm really not sold on McCarron and they draft way too much small players. |

Everyone likes Teemu...but he's not enough to get me rooting for a team. Saku was...and the fact that people unfairly took poops on the guy made me love him even more.
To this day, he's one of my favorite habs of all time...top 5...which consists of:
Rocket, Koivu, Naslund, Gallagher and (this one is inexplicable, but still...) Malakhov. |

Surtout quand on pense qu'un vieux shnock comme Nedved réussit à percer l'équipe Tchèque. Injustice. |

What a tough list to crack. A guy you've never seen play and a guy who has played 80 games for them. |

wasn't a secret, the trade was announced during the WJC but couldn't happen until Hudon was back |

Saku Koivu, who was on board when Finland won the World Championships for the first time in 1995, has been left out. Koivu had himself decided not to go to Sochi because he did not believe he was in good enough shape for an Olympic tournament. He had suffered concussion in October and was out of action for a month following the injury. |

Which one is that? Gallagher or Malakhov?
Although Malakhov was with the habs for 283 games, he might've played only in 80 of them...
