At 2-0 it was over. The players didn't give a (frank).

are you seriously blaming the defence for the Finland game?? did you not see the Canadian generate absolutely nothing on offence? the Canadians reminded me of the Habs... middle of the ice clogged up, no one wanted to drive the net and they just chucked it around the perimeter. 2 goals in the last 2 games. i say coming away without a medal is more on the forwards.

the puck wasn't getting out of their own end. They had no speed to enter the neutral zone.

That's on defence.

against Finland i saw plenty of zone entries. or attempted zone entries. that went nowhere. they honestly reminded me of Montreal, just really, really easy to shut them down.

How's about we agree the whole team sucked?

I actually blame Sutter a lot as well. He never adapted what was a ridiculously obvious and repetitive strategy that never amounted to anything except against teams my beer league club could beat.

Worst save percentage amongst 4 Semi-finalist goalies. 2-0 goal was nail in coffin.
He is overrated. Was on stacked team in Hali..

Some think he is next Patty Roy. I would trade him and keep Price.

It's amazing they lost with Gauthier's amazing reach, defensive play and face-off mastering.

Habs needed some depth at that position...There is no rush, hopefully they will let him develop.

I agree with Marty (dies a little) Fucale was not the issue with the team. They would have gotten killed by the states without him.

Canada seemed slow....and small. Drouin did nothing to really impress me. I thought he was going to be the superstar of the tourney....nope.

Drouin was very selfish and didn't used his linemates enough...I often saw him try to stickhandle guys one-on-one when there was a teammate open and waiting for a pass.

Fucale gives up some clunkers... but i think this experience will serve him well given that he'll be the likely starter next year. can't remember the last time Canada gave serious playing time to an 18 year old goalie.
