something has to give. when asked about brieres status pregame yesterday, therrien said "yes bournival is playing well" not even a word about briere. the points they made on the show yesterday do make sense.

no way briere will play 4 th line.

theres no center pos for him to take

hes not effective on the left side and even if he were to get a shot at right hes played center all his career. its what makes him successful.

hes making 4 mil a year, not producing, in a hockey mad city.

i thought it was interesting the way the guys put it, that out of respect to briere and his career, if he rots in mtl, no chance hell play anywhere else after his term is up. where as if someone wants to take a chance on him, and apparently a few teams were interested in giving him 2 years at4 mil but he chose mtl, maybe he can rejuvenate his career elsewhere.
