Do the Senators fully own Subban's head? Why would a player lining up on the face off engage in chatter with the guys on the opposing bench? Markov finally came over and pushed Subban away from the Ottawa bench and into his blue line positioning.

I thought Subban looked like he was out of control on several occasions last night. Not unlike last year in the playoffs.

His post game whining about the penalty was highly problematic. He did not question the judgement of the referee. Rather, he questioned the character and motive of the referee. Dangerous, dangerous place to go.

This is the statement that needs to be explained.

Subban was handed two minutes for guiding Ottawa forward Erik Condra into the boards with 19 seconds left in the game. Subban took issue with the call afterward, suggesting it was "personal."

'It seems like it's personal to me because it has nothing to do with the game. Based on the standard of penalties, I don't see a penalty there at all.'
- P.K. Subban on his hooking penalty
"It just didn't really make sense to me,"he said.

What does he mean when he calls it personal?

I don't think he meant racial, if that's what you are wondering.

Some refs hold grudges against players personally.

Was that penalty for the hooking at the end? Cause that did look like a penalty.

Don't know, I would have to see it again.

I was more pissed about the quick whistle and disallowed goal earlier in the game.

poop happens, but I understand it must be pretty frustrating to lose like that.

It was 18 seconds before overtime was to start. The timing was really bad.

Not to mention they let go much worse infractions than that in the minutes leading up to that call. It was the circumstances that made it a terrible call.

meh didn't they have a 4 min PP? They had lots of opps and couldn't get it done. I do agree though letting crap go both ways and then calling chince like that at the end sucks.
