Trouba is the best of the lot.

I don't think Kane or Scheifele are going anywhere.

- stormey

Kane or Wheeler are gone at the deadline imho.

Well I don't think players improve too much once they reach 27... I mean, by then, you have a pretty good idea of what they are capable of. They don't REGRESS, but I don't think there will be huge improvements....
- twiztedmike

they can refine their game but they've pretty much peaked by that age. but that's doesn't signify a decline. they plateau for a good 5 years before slowing down.

LA last 5 in a row

Yeah, maybe the goalie thing is catching up to them? I haven't seen them play lately.

Yeah no kidding.

At the end of the day I don't think they would have made it in anyway. To jekyll and hyde.

One game they look great...the next they crap the bed.

Seriously Buff, Trouba, Bogosian, Enstrom, Stuart that's a decent top 5

Should find out over the next couple of weeks what kind of team the Canucks have.

@ LA

Pitt
STL

Well LA is in a losing streak so they have a chance against them.

ANA and STL are impressive as hell.

How the (frank) is Anaheim doing what they are doing. Perry and Getz...sure....superstars...but the rest of that roster is unimpressive.
- stormey

I think they'll fade at some point. Out of all the top teams in the west I find them the least imposing.

Just to add.. when Kuleminwas showing top-six potential, it was with Grabovski when they were getting top six minutes. He was kind of in a Pascal Dupuis sort of position. Dupuis doesn't strike me as a bona fide top six scorer if he's playing with players other than Malkin/Crosby... I think playing with them definitely has taught him to play at that level, such that if he were to switch teams, he could probably be successful, but if he never got that chance I think he would be a 20-30 point player.
- twiztedmike

Is there no other player on the Leafs of the calibre of Grabcokski that he could play with?

and did you just say Grabbo is equal to Crosby/Malkin?

he has multple seasoon a third line putting up 30ish points, and one season where he almost put up 60 when playing 2nd line minutes.

That seems like he is worth 3mil to me. Is Clarkson still getting top 6 minutes?

- 2gals1dane

Clarkson has fewer points with a higher ATOI as well as taking way more dumb penalties.... But I think that its more a case of Clarkson being overpaid than Kulemin underpaid.... 3 Mil is the ceiling you should pay for Kulemin IMO

No... but he was playing with a highly skilled setup man... I'm saying he benefitted in the same way, points production wise, but I'm not saying Grabovski is anything like Malkin or Crosby.

You guys do this a lot on purpose. You purposefully take things out of context or read too much into loose comparisons. I don't appreciate it and its a douchey thing to do.

OMG FIRE THERRIEN!!!!!!!

Actually, no. Keep him, as he's not afraid to let Brière rot in the stands, where he belongs.

I'm saying Play Kulimen on the 2nd Line, if that is where Clarkson is playing and see what he can do. He has proven he can play there once, maybe it is time to see if he can do it again before the deadline.

What are the leafs top 2 lines right now?

JVR Bozak Kessel

Lupul Kadri Clarkson

Nope. I really doubt that. Kane...no chance. Wheeler....doubtful.

I don't get the Kane rumors. Sure a couple of years ago he had issues off the ice but they have stopped and now you only hear good things about him.

Building teams don't trade 22 year old kids like him. Especially when they have just signed a long term deal.

I'm sorry to disagree with you stormey, but I think Clarkson is just an hyperactive Travis Moen since he joined the leafs.

He yaps a whole (frank)ing lot, but he's absolutely useless.
