I agree with the last sentence but nothing else. You're under valuing okposo. A lot of you guys like to say this is his first good season which is not the truth yet you all say it? Guy was one of the biggest reasons we made the playoffs last year.

No he wasn't. He only ha 4 regular season goals. No Game winners, none on the PP, none shortahaned. He a total of 3 pp points, all assists. Brad Boyes, Frans Nielsen, Matt Moulson JT and streit were the reason why the Islanders made the playoffs.

i think bailey played the best out of any islander at the end of the last season. he was the real reason they made the playoffs.

Callahan back in the lineup tonight. MDZ and Falk healthy scratches. Don't know who sits at forward.

What's the over/under on Pyatt scoring at least once tonight? He'll probably be on Crybaby's line.

Looks like Miller comes out for Callahan tonight. Not really surprising.

Thanks for the correction and stats. I was giving my personal view of Oshie, who I have watched a bunch and owned in several fantasy leagues over the year. With Steen out, agreed, he has run a hot streak, though five games is not fully enough for me to say he is not in general a product of playing with Steen, though he clearly has shown he can score without him there. I never said nor was implying Okposo doesn't score on the PP and concur with your view he benefits from playing with Tavares. it's a personal view that Okposo would have been a better choice than Oshie, but can understand the argument, supported by the stats, that it may be closer than I first believed. Though I do think Okposo should have been selected.

Fair enough. Most of my previous post was in response to another person's comment, as opposed to just yours. I don't believe Okposo is a completely undeserving candidate. He has had a damn good year, and honestly, I'd rather him over Stepan for sure.

Ok the same guy that said points aren't everything? Very strange to hear this new approach? Okposo was an absolutely our best fore checker from December on which is the reason why we won games. In the playoffs he absolutely changed the dynamic of that series with a couple of plays. Brad obeys was terrible. Just about any islander fan will tell you that. Moulson I think had three points leading up to the playoffs and sucked when we got there. Wow.

Moulson was playing in the third line and not doing shat. Brad Boyes was terrible. Nielsen was mediocre. Really bad post

Brad Boyes and Reasoner were two reasons we almost didn't make it. If stats don't matter with KO they certainly didn't matter with Boyes.

It's hysterical how these guys say points don't matter when I say okposo has more points then Callahan and stepan combined but use okposos four goals last year as a negative reference? Weird?

so the only explanation you will accept is that the world hates the Islanders and it's the Rangers fault that Okposo is not on the Olympic team.

ok, we get it
