What would be the takeaway for you? - johndewar
That Hartman is undisciplined. Take care of that crap on the ice. No need for that wussy stuff. |

I guess I found the showboater to be a bigger wussy than you purport Hartman to be, but OK. |

yea the sad fact of life is you're not entitled to a house you work for it
too many people don't realize this and think they can just ask for free hand outs from those who actually work hard - 2Real
I'm with you. But I'm done talking about this here. If you guys want to create a new thread I will be happy to continue to discuss there once I get back from lunch. |

You should do some homework. It was a bi-partisan decision during the Clinton era that lead to the affordable housing act, forcing banks to make loans to high risk individuals. When the banks refused, the government passed a bill that would allow the banks to sell these mortgages to government insured fannie may and freddie mac. Why would banks not do this? In Bush's time they tried to fix this, but it was opposed by a certain party. When the recession hit, all the people the bought out of what they could afford defaulted, and the banks couldnt recover because even foreclosed houses werent selling.
Its the perfect example of how a "good idea" like making it easier for poor people to afford houses, has consequences. - youarewrong

I like what Burke has done, but I do think he has this one (and a Yandle-less blueline) wrong. |

No, absolutely not. I'm not even sure how you draw the conclusion that is what I think. You may want to polish up your comprehension skills and then go back and reread my words.
What is his fault is how he handled it. Imho, he handled it very poorly. It's shameful, relaly.
