If you're a Flyers fan you're a Flyers fan. Does it matter how old you were when you became one? It isn't something that can be stripped from you because you move. I'm sure, given the chance, he'd love to pull on the orange and black. He's not going to throw a fit over it, he's a professional.

I'm not getting into a discussion about it, but google countries that have a socialist government and tell me which ones you would like to live in. I mean with countires like China and North Korea leading the list....

Anyway, when it comes to hockey I really dont see nations. I will root for USA all the way, but I will also throw my support behind Canada and Russia. Above all I just want to watch some great hockey.

I wonder if Kovalchuk is playing for team Russia. And I wonder if my IDOLS Nichushkin and Yakupov make the team.

I'd be upset. Even though there are no Flyers on the USA roster I'm rooting for the kids born and raised on US soil.

Without getting into a political discussion, the only time I said that is when you mentioned your support of Socialism. I couldn't get up at 6am after going to bed at 3am. I knew when they lost to Canada and drew Russia in the opener they weren't medaling. They started taking too many PIMs against Canada and from what I read this morning it cost them again against Russia.

The Russian kid was a Richard for skating past the US bench like that and deserved that stick he took to the face.

Not to mention that the Flyers did a lot for his family. Helped him mother out, got Ryan aka Stevenson ice time, and he was around players and management a lot as a kid. It's much more of a connection then just being a Flyer Fan from Cherry Hill.

Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, U.K.--all to some extent socialist countries but with relatively free markets.

NK and China are Communist systems with centrally planned economies.

there is a significant difference both politically and economically. you may want to look into it to be able to discuss more knowledgeably, but not here.
