sounds like he's gone senile, this is ridiculous!

42 games 18 - 18 for 36 points +10, so no one can say it's because of Getzlaf & Perry
this is a joke, he just doesn't like him.

& why would Yandle cost a ton in trade talk, but can't make this team either?
really?
another joke, he gets penalized because of his offensive skills, not pegging him as a shutdown type? He doesn't like him either.

I've actually liked him, & his thoughts on the game & team building, but it seems like he's getting personal for some reason with his selection.
Is he saying Yandle can't play defense?
What did Bill Clement say about Karlsson in Ottawa (about playing defense),
"you don't use a porsche to tow your boat" or something along those lines.

snubbing Ryan is just personal, like when trade talk 2 years ago surfaced I was all for him, yetmost of the posters in here didn't like him, why?
because he produces? I don't buy the back checking issues, I've watched him play, he's sufficient enough.

Maybe they just wanted to clarify that they weren't making an all-star team by leaving a couple good players off. If that's true, it's still really stupid.

think about it, we would love to have Yandle, but it would probably cost us 2 solid regular forwards, or more, but he can't make the USA team?

He's scoring goals in a tight trapping system,
regressed?

edit, he's every bit as good as JVR today

He leads the Wild in goals (17, on pace for 33), and that's while playing boring NJ style hockey. If anything I think he's very under rated.

I just saw that Brian Burke was quoted as saying that Bobby Ryan can't even spell the word intense, because it's not in his vocabulary.

Now granted, I've never met them, but Phil Kessel and JVR and Paul Martin and Paul Statsny are more intense than Bobby Ryan? Really?

Well, golly gee, Brian Burke! I guess Bobby Ryan is the biggest miracle in NHL history, because I would never have guessed scoring 30-plus goals every season is as easy as falling out of bed!

So Poile had Homer on his team for the selection of Team USA. Can we fairly say that the Weber thing might be water under the bridge at this point?

Lavi and Homer were both part of the selection process which started before the season. I think you move on pretty quickly. Holding grudges is impossible in the NHL because eventually you will need to work with someone regarding something.

I know fantasy sports is different, but I've gotten really mad at people for snaking deals from me or lying about things. I always say I'll never speak with that person about making any kind of deal. Then, I end up being ok with them and making a deal a couple weeks later.

I'm a realtor and the same holds true in that regard. You don't know how many agents have pissed me off, but I won't withhold their listings from my clients.

It has more to do with his skating. The committee came to a consensus that Okposo and Pominvilles game wouldn't translate well to the bigger rink.

No. Flyers have more wins than the Red Wings as it is. If we win, we leap frog over Detroit.
