I'm happy for Emery for a number of different reasons. For starters, he started a game he should be starting in. The Flames are not the Tampa Bay Lightning, Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild or Chicago Black Hawks. He wasn't making a start when a bunch of line up changes were made due to injures from the game before. He took on a lesser team after sitting for over a week with no surprising line up changes. It was a simple game that he should be starting in and played very well.

Ok. So on incidental contact outside of the crease, Hartnell gets "called" for interference. That was a terrible (frank)ing call. Absolutely horrendous.

Here's my question. If a penalty wasn't called, then why the (frank) was the goal waved off? What happened that negates the goal if no penalty was called. In other words, how can a legal play result in a washed out goal?

That makes me so mad. Atrocious.

Good period overall I'd say. Streit must have heard me.

I'll be on my phone for the rest of the night- heading out to "ring in" the New Year...whatever "ring in" means.

No but these are the top canadian scorers in the league aside from Lucic. Although Simmonds is only three points under Lucic.

It was really encouraging to see Hartnell getting in the crease area and creating havoc.

Even though the goal was wiped out on the interference, my buddy said that there's the old meat head, he's gonna score one tonight.
