Wideman to Boston makes sense. Make it happen, Burkie - Ol_Boy_Wop
How does that make sense. I know Seidenberg is out but can BOS afford Wideman's contract? |

For what in Boston?
And not sure why Boston would want him. They have a similar player in Krug. And wideman contract is to long for them when they have players like Krug/hamilton stepping up and Chara eating up minutes. |

Makes sense depending on the return but I don't think Boston wants that contract. |

Poirier signed. 1 day before the clause that would allow for early FA (I think that's what it is) kicks in. Nice! |

Evander Kane would be sweet but you'd have to wonder who winnipeg would want, I doubt Cammy is high on their list. Maybe a guy like Krieder in NY or something. Gonna be interesting to see which direction Burke plans to go and how he plans to get there. As for the GM search, common feeling is that it may last into the summer when executives contracts are up. Or in the case of the possible Bruin's assistant GM, he may want to see if Boston can win another cup before he leaves. (Hopefully Iggy gets one too )

Jesus dude! You have to be joking. Because Burke did something similar before doesn't mean he does it again. Specially with the draft class in 2015.
It's clear you've started the New Years Eve celebration early. - whipper334
All I'm saying is - based on Burke's history, he won't think twice about giving up a first round pick if a budding superstar, or superstar becomes available.
Burke already said he isn't a patient man, that makes me think he has no plan on finishing in the bottom 4 next year so he probably feels we don't have a shot at McDavid.

Yeah but the position Calgary is in, I highly doubt makes a trade like that again, especially after how much flak he took when the picks turned out to be Seguin and Hamilton. Could you imagine his crucification if these picks turn out to be Ekblad/Reinhart and McDavid? I doubt he'll risk it this time. |
