Aside from your other post, more roster spots means less decent players available on waivers. Which in my opinion is a great thing.

Is there a chance we could have a prospects part of our roster. Like 5 guys you own put can't dress?

Does he play soccer or something? Maybe he still moonlights as a top pairing guy in that timbits league Crosby is always in commercials for?
- I-own_da-Northwest

No, seriously. No one will ever be half as good as Dion Phaneuf. There is going to be a completely new Hockey Hall of Fame just for him. Really.

That could work as well, but way more confusing, Fosco would have to keep track of those players, and when making trade offers, you''d have to make sure that the other guy knows i a prospect is involved before he looks at it. Plus to make it even worse for Fosco, he'd have to keep track of people who want to drop one of their prospects for an unclaimed prospect and also what would the rules be regarding prospect that's in the NHL for just a short call-up, and what if it turns into a full time call-up?

Just keeping more bench spots is so much more easier IMO.

Won't Hit, Fight or Lead the team like he used to.

You are thinking of his Calgary days....

Watch a Leafs game sometime and witness the awesome JVR!

Less Fukking Bench Spots!!!
- vancity787

Why?

You'll have to drop some of your young guys and end up with an even worse team.

More bench spots means more options.

If you don't have time to manage a team with that many bench spots, you're welcome to opt out of next season—we're looking to drop at least two teams, and I still have a couple guys who still want teams and are willing to participate.

Fosco has nothing better to do anyway. Once Edler gets traded he'll have the time he spends defending Edler to spare as well

I'd be willing to take Gunnerrson. Clarkson for another 6 yrs enjoy leaf fans. Lu has 8 yrs left and Clarkson 6. Pretty much identical cap hits. The differance is Lu will contribute for at least part of his contract.

I can add an "NA" spot which is only eligible for players not in the NHL (ie prospects, or suspended prospects).
