The Sabres should look into this guy:

Overager that went undrafted through 2 drafts, something not right with him

True, but those stats don't lie. It may be his size, or his skating.
I'd still give him an ELC.

I like this guy as well:

Scouting Report says he is one of the biggest Snipers in the NCAA. Defense needs some work, but definitely an offensive threat.

Sometimes it's a maturity issue/attitude problem. If he's worked throughout I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him, they're hit and miss but I think it could be worth a shot. I believe Tanner Pearson was in a similar situation and the Kings took him in the 1st round (albeit, 30th overall).

21 year old playing against 17 and 18 year olds . All the makings of a career AHL player. Maybe a late bloomer but doubtful.

Yakupov scratched again? Only thing that would make it worse is if Ryan Murray scored a hat trick.

Seriously though some say he was the right pick, others say Murray.

In reality after the two 1st overall picks, they should have looked to deal this pick as part of a package deal for an established NHL D-man (or two).

IMO that's what put them a step back.

Good lord. I really, really hope that doesn't happen to us (or a variation of that) some time in the future.

To be honest. They could have Shea Weber and it wouldn't make them good. Watch them play, they are lost, all of them.

I get that but it should have started there. It's bad asset management.

I think they hung on to certain prospects/picks for too long that they should have dealt for NHL players the way the Kings did.

I suspect they will make a major shake up involving one of their "big 4". They have to try something big cuz they're running out of options here.

I agree, It was a coin flip who to take IMO. Lets be honest though, a 19 year old Ryan Murray wouldn't have led to more wins this season.
Organizationally they are a mess.

Yea it certainly seems that way. I'm thinking they deal their pick this year if they can't get in the top 2 for ekblad.

I'll take Taylor Hall for Erhoff, a 1st, and a 2nd

IMO they need to hire an established NHL coach, like Lavy, trade one of their young guys, biggest reason is to hopefully scare them into acting like professionals, then they need to get a franchise defensemen

Me thinks this is it. Guys like Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins got massive raises very very early in their careers and never came under much scrutiny. Management is obsessed with them and there really isn't much threat to them on the depth chart.

I think Taylor Hall is the only thing right with that team. I'd almost go as far as saying he's underrated. He's got speed, size and skill and a solid work ethic/attitude. Unfortunately, it hasn't seemed spread.

Conversation for him starts at Myers and Girgensons...it's about there where both GM's tell each other to (frank) off
