Me thinks this is it. Guys like Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins got massive raises very very early in their careers and never came under much scrutiny. Management is obsessed with them and there really isn't much threat to them on the depth chart.

Nope, and that's where a strong, talented bottom 6 comes into play. In Edmonton there literally is no threat to the kids. If they had some sort of strong bottom 6 players, they could shuffle the lines a bit, or bench one of them, but unfortunately if they want any chance to win they all have to play and have to play a lot

I think Taylor Hall is the only thing right with that team. I'd almost go as far as saying he's underrated. He's got speed, size and skill and a solid work ethic/attitude. Unfortunately, it hasn't seemed spread.

Conversation for him starts at Myers and Girgensons...it's about there where both GM's tell each other to (frank) off

Not a chance . Those would be our 2 untouchables at this point . Why do people want to trade our best young players?

Ott?

Ott would be a great fit for them. I guess they went hard after Clarkson

Part of that is their drafting, a lot of misses outside those 1st picks. Guys like Lander, Hartikainen, Paajarvi who just never panned out.

That and they still have Ryan Smyth on their team. What the (frank) is up with that?

Unless its for a nice return player (package for hall, eberle) i'd rather hold onto him...the "C" has really seemed to handcuffed his play style...doesn't look like he ever gets into the grove like he used to..

Depends on the pick and how long Yakupov is under contract, but that's fine by me.

I am done with Ott's act, ESPECIALLY from our Captain...blech.

This is why I didn't want him to be captain.

I'll pass on Yakupov...russians with questionable work ethic scare me (startin to worry about grigerenko)

Although i want to keep him..trading McNabb may be the best thing for the kid's career...poor kid can't get any shot to stay in Buff for more than a game

I imagine it would have to be a 1st no? It'd be a PR disaster if they traded the former 1st overall pick for a 3rd line winger and an apparently fallen out of favour defensemen.

Dallas Eakins has managed him terribly. Nolan seems to let players play their game so I feel as if it'd be a good fit. Work ethic scares me a bit too but if that's all you're giving up it's worth the risk.

Sabres 5-2-2 last 9 games!

You have to admit the change is starting to take shape with this club! This off season we have 23 million to spend to get to the cap floor - sign some top FA talent. I love the line of Grigs/Ennis/Moulson, what a great 2nd line!

The change is Miller playing the best of his ability. How else do you explain gutting out a 2-1 shutout win getting outshot 50-17.

Trading Miller is the best thing for this franchise going forward, although I really want to keep him.
