"PLENTY"
quote (kwt)
v. quot·ed, quot·ing, quotes
1. To repeat or copy the words of (another), usually with acknowledgment of the source. - LetsGoIsles
Oh yeah? Incredible how "plenty" of fans went unnoticed by "many" of the fans on here today? Very strange but hey if it makes your point more valid in your eyes by all means keep doing it. This is your MO. Nothing new. When are you meeting with garf and Wang again since you're so instrumental in the organization? |

Whats the point? There weren't "many" Islander fans saying picking Hedman or Duchene over Tavares was a good idea. There were a couple and they were the usual morons that post ridiculous shat that are here today. This whole thing was to add validity to his moronic point in the first place. - Cptmjl
But there were a few.. which was the point.

Watched the devils game with my cousin (who is a fan) today.
I dont know how there are any Devil fans, it is the most boring sporting event I have ever watched, and they played the Penguins
The devils play the mot defensive and slow game in the history of all of the sports. They score one goal/get the lead and then they play mega trap and throw everyone infront of the goalie in the D zone, as if they're playing with 6 goalies.
I think next time I will watch something more exciting, like cricket or chess. |

This is an example of how the horrible coaching translates to giant obstacles on the ice. Boston has its first line on. The Isles have their fourth line on with Carkner on D. They go on the forecheck and could easily make a change and get a more favorable matchup. Instead Cappy decides this is what he wants out there, and they get completely overmatched when Boston gets in their zone, and it's 1-0.
This is not the fault of the players. That line and that D pair shouldn't be out there. It's all on the coach for always having the wrong matchup. |

The weirdest thing with that blown review is that live I thought it was in, but on the replay I couldn'tsee it. Credit the bruin broadcasters though, they called it an obvious goal and a blown call. |

A lot of the stuff that happens is coaching, to me- for one thing, who the he11 makes a cross ice pass in the neutral zone, especially against a team that plays a defensive style that is geared toward just such an opportunity? You can't tell me that this idea of "puck-moving" is something the players dreamed up on their own. It's just a dumb game plan, in which the only idea seems to be to pass the puck, irrespective of anything else that is happening on the ice. I just can't believe the players are doing that because they feel like it.
Also, 47 has a decent shot, and pretty much nothing else....so why is he running the power play? He should be the second fiddle, setting up for the shot, while someone else runs the show and moves the puck. Watching him skate around in circles in slow motion with two forecheckers on him is horrifying- he is too d*mned slow and indecisive to be running a power play. I have to believe that either de Haan or Hickey, just to name two off the top of my head, would be better at it. The problem isn't that "we don't have anyone else"- the only one I wouldn't put in his place is Carkner, because he's the only one who is slower and more worthless with the puck. Any of the others would do, in my opinion.

Our first pp 47 skated in circles and tried to go 1 on 3 against the bruin pk for a full 30 seconds, causing me to almost stroke out yelling PASS THE PUCK YOU IDIOT |

It's not even that, though- a player with the requisite play making skills would have moved that puck before anyone got near him. The whole point of being the QB on the power play is to see the whole ice and make the first pass. You can't do that when it takes you a half hour to make a decision, and then the decision you make is to put your head down and skate forward at the speed of Trent Hunter. It's like the ONLY time they DON'T pass the puck from behind their own net is when they're on the power play....
That said...thank God for JT....and the fact that Rask is having a sh*t game...although the second part is killing my roto for this week...
....and again, a cross ice pass in the neutral zone....this coach HAS TO GO.... |

Yeah....they won three Stanley Cups doing that.....while our team skates around like f***ing Ice Capades 3/4 of the time, constantly passing the puck to....whoever, no matter which team they're on....I'll take boring any day of the week... |
