Cappy is spoken this way by ALOT around the league

I know we all dont get it... but its not just Snow & Wang that think he's not only an NHL Coach, but a good one.

I would hate to meet the people around the league that think Cappy is a great coach.

Just stop blowing smoke up Snow's ass already please? You make it sound like other GM's were flooding the phone lines for DeHaan and Snow was genius enough to hold off on making a blockbuster deal for DeHaan because he just knew he was going to be a great D man. Give me a break. Garth Snow is a complete jackass and a terrible GM. How much more BS do you need to see before you realise this? Remove your nose from the man a$$ it seriously makes you look foolish. Next thing you know you'll be saying how genius Snow was to pick Tavares first overall.
- Cptmjl

you are adorable!!!

i didnt realize you had his phones bugged...i never said blockbuster or even a great dman, i just said it was funny how people were willing to give him away for a "bag of pucks" and now people love him (#kneejerk)....why are you so defensive?? relax...

2nd bold...PLENTY of people would have watched duchene/hedman...if fact those same people were complaining about the pick after the first few weeks where duchene was playing better than JT.

Good on Botta. Don't care for the guy but he hit the nail right on the head. Garth Snow is a living, breathing insult to EVERY Islander fans intelligence.

Does anyone know why Carkner didn't play last night? I have him for PMs in a pool and will drop him if he's hurt but I can't find any mention of why he might not have played.

Thanks

- James_Tanner

after that horrible fight attempt against Ryan Clowe, I'd bench him the rest of the season... maybe he has a career in MMA, bantamweight female division. Aside from Josh Bailey, he's the most useless player on the roster.

I don't remember that at all. I do remember holding my breath before the pick because if he took anyone other than JT I was going to lose my mind.

carkner seems like he's trying to get into it every shift, almost like he knows he's on the outs and trying to hold onto his job, but he's not helping with that crap, especially when he's challenging people after clean hits. That stuff is silly, go after the dirty players, not the ones hitting clean.

Its so easy to throw blanket statements like that out there all the time. I remember plenty of guys who would rather have drafted those guys instead of JT yet you never get a name out of it

Bonus Alert** He still has another year left on his contract, even though they will probably use the last buyout on him ( I prefer Bailey but that would mean snow would have to admit he made a mistake and that won't happen)

honestly I don't remember anyone saying they didn't want JT, I remember discussions about it, and some saying they wouldn't mind Hedman or thought that was more likely, but I wanted JT the entire time. When it was rumoured that Snow wasn't taking Tavares I was losing my mind.

the second best part of that draft day was watching Burke walk away from talking with Snow with a look of pure sorrow. You knew he was trying to get the pick to draft JT and just couldn't get Snow to give it up.

I wondered after the fact if those rumours about Snow taking someone else were just out there to bait Burke into trading up to 2 or 3 and still getting screwed.

Really? Just because two people said maybe he should be a candidate fo the Jack Adams doesnt mean squat. I have heard nothing but negative press saying he should be fired. I dont know what you've been reading? I'd like to know exactly where youre hearing A LOT of positive things about capuano?

Thanks for calling me adorable? Whatever? Defensive? Not at all. When you say how smart Snow was for holding onto DeHaan it's such a beyond words stupid comment with zero merit and you know it. Stop deflecting. You'd compliment Snow for breathing or crossing the street. It gets tiring after a while.
As far as the draft if you actually believe that I got a pile of shat to sell you(maybe the same one you offered me earlier today?). That was nothing but the usual trying to make the draft exciting routine. There were maybe 1 percent of islander fans on board with drafting someone else. The same idiots that think Staple spouts the truth. They probably thought it would've been smart to trade the first overall for Liles when he was in Colorado like Staples suggested as a good idea. Remember that one?
I don't even know why I addressed this part of you post the whole point was stop blowing Snow. the guy is a moron and terrible GM. What else do you need to see? Are you happy that Capuano will be your coach for the rest of the season? Remember when you wanted to bet me your boy was going to fire the worst coach this team has ever had? I'll ask that again since you didn't answer it and deflected from the original post. Snow sucks stop sucking his a$$.

Responding to comments from last blog:

I don't think anyone is trashing Okposo by saying we wished he would play like he does against Minn every game. I think we are all VERY happy with his play this year and the last half of last year. It just seems to us when he plays in his hometown he goes into a whole other gear of "beast mode".

- niteislander

It's hard to b*tch about KO's output and effort level this year. He's clearly turned a corner. He's an entirely different player this year than ever before and I think his improved training regiment with JT in the offseason has factored into KO's turnaround as much as anything. It's been a real bright spot in an otherwise dark and dreary season.

Cant look over deHaan playing 20+ minutes with Hamonic...the kid has been great so far.

I dont think he's a top-pairing solution but he hasnt disappointed at all.

- kcNYI

It's been real pleasant to watch de Haan. Another bright spot along with KO during an otherwise down year. Looks like a legit top four d-man with PP QB capabilities.

I like Dehaan so far but he is far from a sure thing. -7 in 14 games with 0 points is not exactly playing lights out but when you're use to watching AMAC every night I can see how some on here think he is a stud
- Vukota

But it's been real encouraging to watch de Haan. Four years after he's drafted he has been brought along slowly (because of injury, no doubt). He looks far better than Donovan did, far better than a-Mac, the "1st pairing veteran".

No no.. getting fired.. and being a good coach have nothing to do with each other. The people i have heard from have said they thought Cappy should be fired for the way this season has gone, But they believe that he would find another job in the NHL because he is a good coach.

Avalanche right wing PA Parenteau will miss about six weeks because of a second-degree MCL sprain in his left knee.
