I don't get it. I would rather see nabby on the point then amac. Try switching it up go with 5 forwards put dehaan out there do someting facking different
- Vukota

I'd rather have DeHaan and a fwd on the first PP unit. I don't even like hickey but I'm smart enough to know he'd be a better option on the PP. Hamonic is a better option for facks sake. Ridiculous.

In an otherwise wondrous holiday season, two lumps of coal: "Grudge Match" and Garth Snow's TV interview. Insulting scripts.

He played the whole 2:00 late in the game against the devils on their last PP.
- Vukota

Oh I know. Loved when he wiffed on that perfect pass to the slot and kept skating like he actually made contact with the puck when it was going back the other way. Terrible. He does that multiple times a game not just on the PP.

Good on Botta. Don't care for the guy but he hit the nail right on the head. Garth Snow is a living, breathing insult to EVERY Islander fans intelligence.

These interviews do more harm than anything. Why insult the fans when they can see for themselves what has been going on? He was not happy with team when the Vanek deal happened. How could Garth be happy now?

There are a few fans stupid enough to believe it.

In truth I was relieved to hear the interview b/c I don't see this team making up the ground it need to at this point (that is saying a lot for Koolaide guy). I was worried Snow would trade Grabner, strome and Reinhardt for a bum to save face.

Does anyone know why Carkner didn't play last night? I have him for PMs in a pool and will drop him if he's hurt but I can't find any mention of why he might not have played.

Thanks

Cant look over deHaan playing 20+ minutes with Hamonic...the kid has been great so far.

I dont think he's a top-pairing solution but he hasnt disappointed at all.

deHaan looks like he'll get better as he gets more experience...

I missed the game. Must have been a hard hitting interview?
- ses111

It was before the game...didn't say much...Goring did the interview so I'm sure Snow gave him the qustions to ask...he did say its hard to make a deal with another team because of the salary cap...

Oh I'm sure. Did he blame the season on injuries and say how wonderful Capuano was? I'm guessing he took zero blame for the team that he put together and did nothing to help?

Yup...you said it in three lines...

Don't get me wrong I like Dehaan so far but saying how smart Snow was to hold of on perspective trades for him is absurd. Like GM's from all over the league were clamoring for Calvin DeHaan and what a genius Snow was for holding off because he knew he'd develop into this. Facking stupid. He probably didn't get one facking call for the kid but he's a genius for holding off?
- Cptmjl

I got slammed here by peeps for suggesting to trade deHaan around beginning of season. The sentiment was that his trade value was suspect/unknown because of injury and no time up on the big team. Which wasn't untrue but a better GM.....

He's behind Rick Hanson on the depth chart, but we had to put Martinek on the LTIR so we could also dress his wheelchair.

*edit* sorry, this is in bad taste. I'm extremely disgusted with the team and didn't mean to take it out on Rick Hanson.

for a rookie with little ahl experience due to injuries, he's looked more durable and physical than I expected and has been reasonably solid. He's going to make mistakes, unfortunately the rest of our d makes so many that there's no one to help cover up his.

If I hear Goring say "this is the win that's going to start a streak" one more facking time I'll puke. He's said that the last three times they won. Unfortunately it took them a month to win three games
- Cptmjl

But....

This IS the win that is going to start a streak!!!

Just stop blowing smoke up Snow's ass already please? You make it sound like other GM's were flooding the phone lines for DeHaan and Snow was genius enough to hold off on making a blockbuster deal for DeHaan because he just knew he was going to be a great D man. Give me a break. Garth Snow is a complete jackass and a terrible GM. How much more BS do you need to see before you realise this? Remove your nose from the man a$$ it seriously makes you look foolish. Next thing you know you'll be saying how genius Snow was to pick Tavares first overall.

A lot of people even here wanted Hedman & a few wanted Duchane.

Because he deserves it. In fact i don't think he gets hammered enough. Every facet of the press should be hammering this clown just for thinking Capuano is a great coach and doing a great job forget about the countless other shat. Guys is a total clown.
- Cptmjl

Cappy is spoken this way by ALOT around the league

I know we all dont get it... but its not just Snow & Wang that think he's not only an NHL Coach, but a good one.

I like Dehaan so far but he is far from a sure thing. -7 in 14 games with 0 points is not exactly playing lights out but when you're use to watching AMAC every night I can see how some on here think he is a stud
- Vukota

he's no Jack Hillen!!!
