TIOPS Ladd is our top target (love him) but Pens feel Kane can be had. If he can be had and you don't get him then you might as well just wreck your car into a pole.
He goes on in later tweet to say possibly Sutter and or Bennett would be included. I'd hate to see either go but I kind of have a man crush on Kane in a pens uni |

Saw this too on TPB. http://www.winnipegfreepr...--jet-fuel-238204011.html
Im really hoping it is Wheeler if there is any truth to this. Ive had him pretty high on the winger wish list for a few years, and he would seem to fit the "Shero" mold for a winger. |

If you can believe it Kane actually has a lower cap hit and it is for the long term. |

I disagree with the article. Maybe Kane isn't available for that type of package but I'll assume Ladd and Wheeler both are. Also adding depth on the back end allows them to move some of the guys they already have and save money in a losing season. |

Seems like that article is total speculation. It will be on EK's blog in 3 - 2 - 1.... |

Makes him more desirable, and therefore more expensive to acquire. You are well aware of my mild obsession with Wheeler. He is the kind of winger that would help over the course of a 7 game series with Boston. Lots of size and skill. Plus, it isnt like his is a short term deal--Wheeler is signed for 5 years after this at 5.8mil(cap hit 5.6 mil)...A very Neal-esque contract for a similar style player. |

Hard to imagine getting both Kane & Ladd. I dont see us parting ways with Sutter either. I could see it shaking out like this: Letang and Beau B. for Kane and Ellerby. |

Andrew Ladd would be a monster on Malkin's wing. Personally, i would love to see the Pens put together a deal for both Ladd and Wheeler, then your top 2 lines would be Kunitz-Crosby-Wheeler and Ladd-Malkin-Neal. 2 nasty, hard to play against lines. |

Assuming Maata isnt involved and it is a deal more geared towards one of our prospects(Despres, Pouliot, etc) then I would guess one of our young wingers is probably going back too. If I am Winnipeg, in addition to a Dman I would be doing everything possible to work Bennett into the deal knowing ultimately Id settle for Megna as the additional piece.(At this point I might actually prefer Megna over Bennett) |
