Salvador has looked good, much better than Volchenkov. Merrill has been playing good too, think they could be a good pairing. Hopefully Larsson coming back can help Gelinas a bit, he has been struggling.
Greene-Fayne
Salvador-Merrill
Gelinas-Larsson
Volchenkov-Zidlicky
Zid looks expendable, traded at the trade deadline maybe? Move Gelinas up to 1st PP with Greene if this happens, and put Larsson on 2nd unit with Merrill.
Clowe looked good too, he brings a nice physical dimension to the team. - Rseen
The problem with both Sal and ATrain is they both look good for 3 games, and then its 5 games of costly turnovers and getting beat constantly. Don't think we should have more than one of them in the lineup unless its necessary because of injuries. |

Makes it hard when one of them is your captain and it would "lock bad" to ever bench or scratch him. |

He just seemed to be paired with Salvador and from what Cheeco was saying it sounded like that was how Pete had been using him and the pp I saw he was only out there for about 10 seconds of pp time but almost all of the pk. I also wasn't saying it was a bad thing, he is a different player then Larsson so what wasn't right for Larsson could be right for Merril or What we did with Larsson was good and we are starting to see it now or pre injury. - blizzzard
Merrill seems to be the first kid Pete legitimately likes and can becomes one of his favorites. He played a hell of a game today too. Lots of good defensive plays, covered for a few Sal blunders, and it seemed like he was playing against tougher competition. He might never develop great offensive instincts at this level but he still does a great job keeping pucks in the offensive zone, is great under pressure, and has an accurate point shot which are all valuable offensively. |

Watching NYR Florida, wouldn't mind adding Fleishmann. Does a good job creating opportunities both for himself and the team. |

I really didn't think Clowe could come back and be effective at all but after watching his fight in what his first game back? or second anyways it is pretty exciting and I'm glad he is proving me wrong just means more success for the Devils ! Hopefully Salvador can do the same. Sadly I have been able to watch one period so far since they have returned so I can only go off of what I have read from you guys |

Clowe's been a pleasant surprise since returning. Using his big frame to create space and hasn't look as slow. Not that he is faster now. It's just he sees the ice better now and knows the systems. He has always been a smart player.
So who is pumped to watch this winter classic? 100 thousand people + snow... Should be real cool, hope it's a good game. |

Outside of Buffalo Florida and Nashville this could be a pretty tough month. Got the Blues, Hawks, Stars x2, Avalanche Canadiens and Caps. Hopefully the Leafs keep trending down and we keep are win streak vs the Rangers alive not sure how I feel about the Yotes they are having a decent year but don't have much scoring it should be a defensive showdown. |

I hope Detroit wins even though I don't like them I just would love to see the Leafs miss after they made it in a shortened season to make them feel like they where for real lol |

That would be hilarious. I don't like the leafs at all haven't since the early 2000's. We had some great playoffs battles with them, plus they use to have so many dirty players. (frank)ing Tucker and Tie Domi...man i hate that guy such scum. |

The funny thing is that they have been bad for so long that they think this is the best team they have had since they last won the cup but they have had plenty of good teams that just never got the job done. When they had Roberts and Sundin and Kaberle and McCabe with Belfour and or Cujo ( not sure if I am remembering correctly) those where good teams I actually really used to like McCabe with his big one timer his can opener and hip checks. Point is they have had some decent teams prior to their 8 year play off drought. |
