He hit the boards similar to Kovy last season. He was down for a while but didn't seem to hit the boards as hard. If I had to guess he won't be in the lineup against Chicago, but you never know.

Salvador has looked good, much better than Volchenkov. Merrill has been playing good too, think they could be a good pairing. Hopefully Larsson coming back can help Gelinas a bit, he has been struggling.

Zid looks expendable, traded at the trade deadline maybe? Move Gelinas up to 1st PP with Greene if this happens, and put Larsson on 2nd unit with Merrill.

I like how much trust has in Merril but I almost feel like he is grooming him into a defensive guy or he could just be taking him the Larsson route without all the benchings and scratches.

He just seemed to be paired with Salvador and from what Cheeco was saying it sounded like that was how Pete had been using him and the pp I saw he was only out there for about 10 seconds of pp time but almost all of the pk. I also wasn't saying it was a bad thing, he is a different player then Larsson so what wasn't right for Larsson could be right for Merril or What we did with Larsson was good and we are starting to see it now or pre injury.
