Schneider was outplaying Lou at the end of his time there. Lou is still good and I'm sure he can still have a great tournament, but he'd be behind Lundqvist, Miller, and whoever Finland plays in my opinion. - rmdevil313
Maybe but USA's top line could likely be Canada's third and that's not to say Kane couldn't play on the top line but with the way lines would work out there is probably at least 4 Canadians that are for sure better then him. The defense will be significantly better then the U.S's to. I honestly hate discussing this because I feel like such a hommer but I seriously think Canada has way to much talent. We could honestly ice 2 teams and both could likely medal. Hell the second team might do better cause there would be no pressure on them. |

Isn't that what you guys were always saying about your junior teams
Honestly you are correct, Canada is much more talented than everyone else. But you guys had a lot more talent in Vancouver and still needed OT to beat the US, only beat Slovakia by a goal, and nearly lost to the Swiss. Once I found out that both the US and Canada hasn't medaled on international ice its getting me a little worriedabout both teams chances. |

I am super worried to but the NHL in itself has changed a lot since then so I think both teams will do better then they had done on the big ice we still hadn't weened out all the 6'5 240 slow forwards like we have noe I think all our best players are under 220 now and can skate very well. |

Also difference between and the jrs is yea the jrs are still likely more talented then the rest of the feel they don't have the experience for the pressure put on them like the men do these are guys who have won gold medals at world jrs and olympics and stanley cups and just know how to face the heat and spotlight where I could see it really getting to these kids. When we where down today I was worried with how the boys where more worried about trying to hurt the other players with crushing hits then they where with trying to win or tie the game back up. I think the men know not to get stupid like that and so on. That's not to say they cant get pissed or knocked off there game but they are certainly better equipped for it then the kids who are full of testosterone and thinking about girls in the stands and looking cool or tough. |

There is still a huge difference in how european countries and NA countries develop players. I know Semin said something like "why should I dump the puck in, that is giving the puck to the other team." I know Yakupov has said something similar and it really goes back to how they were taught the game growing up. You'll never hear a canadian kid say that, dumping the puck at the right time is practically ingrained in these kids heads. There's other subtleties that these Europeans grew up doing that are a bit like second nature to them. For example, Ovie can cut in from his off wing and snipe, something that teams caught on to in the NHL but is a lot harder to stop on the international ice. As much as the game has changed, its still very different than the European game. Canada will still have players like Getzlaf, Perry, Weber, Seabrook who play a very NA style game. US does too with guys like Brown, Orpik (He better not be on the team) Callahan, Backes. |

It will be a challenge and I think Getzlaf will have a third or fourth line role but non the less these are professionals and a lot of them are quick and skilled think about the guys that won't be there that where last time the team should be quite a bit faster. |

Ehem, lets say Jagr does get traded to the Habs, do they have any good forward prospects other than Galchenyuk and Gallagher? That Collberg guy? (F#%K YEAH MORE SWEEDES!) |

Its more than just skating. So much of hockey is about angles and adding 2 feet in each direction changes it all up. A lot more east-west play than north-south.
Also, I'm watching the latest 24/7 and I always thought Clarkson was the kind of guy to chirp about the stupidest things. He does not let that water bottle incident go |

I wouldn't consider either of those guys to be prospects |
