While I agree, we need to start moving bodies out. He should be one of the easier ones to move and might be able to get us something back aside from conditional picks.
- rmdevil313

No question he's one of our most movable pieces, but I like how he's one of the few guys in the middle between our old guys like Sal, Zid, and Volchenkov and our really raw guys like Merrill, Gelinas, Larsson, and whoever is next to come up.

But it all depends on what the offer is, no ones untouchable as they say.

What the hell did Howard do to make it?
Howard: 6-8-7 with a 2.66/.910
Schneider: 5-8-5 2.13/.914
Bishop: 20-5-3 1.89/.935

Bishop probably should have made it over anyone.

What happens if both Quick and Howard's injuries linger? USA has one healthy goalie?

Seems like a bad idea, especially considering Howard hasn't even been that great this year regardless. I understand sending Quick, but the third spot should be Bishop or Schneider.

One might be replaced but I don't if there are any rules on it once the rosters are named. I think Howard is a very average starting goalie, which is fine in the NHL, you can still win with them. But Bishop has had a fantastic season and Schneider is more talented, he has the most difficult job of the three too. Weird choice.

Howard has international experiences too and has played well in it so that could be the reason and Bishop didn't shine last world championship.

What a mess that was. I (frank)ing hate Petan little midget can't do anything it was like watching the Devils. Ekblad was wide open and the point numerous times and these (frank)ing midget forwards like Petan kept passing up better scoring chances to pass it into high trafic areas for bank in's I almost yelled PASS IT TO GELINAS Patterson not making a save when he needed to. I just don't have much faith in that team anymore. Just seen Clowe's fight with Carkner ( I have missed the last 2 games ) Maybe I can like him

He is a very likeable player when you forget how much he signed he for. I think he helps us when he plays but no doubt his speed is horrible. But he makes up for it with his decision making and positioning. He generally knows what to do out there, I think he is a smart player. Provides a big body on the forecheck too which is something we could always use more of. He did real well in that fight too caught Carkner on a nice uppercut.

Yeah they do not look to strong even the Germany game they let the Germans hang around for like 2 periods. Don't seem to have much chemistry. Team USA is looking strong. Santini and Matteau look pretty good.

I have been watching them and liking Matteau a little more each time but still not sold on him quite yet but Santini is a stud can't wait to finally have a mobile bruiser back there. Who sat out for Sal and Clowe ? and how did they play ? has Boucher been sent back down ?

UMMM well Volch is a giant bruise so he sat for Sal on saturday. Teddy sat out saturday too. I think Jo and Jansssen where the healthy scratches on Friday. Boucher is still here they sent Sestito down...Not sure why Teddy is here over him but whatever. Friday was a poopshow for everyone but Marty. He is the only reason we got a pt. Clowe wasn't too bad in his first game especially considering how bad we played and he looked good on Saturday. Sal was alright, didn't seem to make too many mistakes and laid the body a bit. Pdb of course is loving it cause Sal is one of his children just like Harold and Gio. They can do the most minor thing and it apparently was the key to victory...Oh yeah btw Gio and Bernie have been skating with Patty...Starting to contemplate driving around looking for Pete so i can punch him in the face.

For as big of an idiot some think I am I seriously think I could at least help this man out with the decision making process. When does the trade freeze end ? Wonder if we make any minor moves. Have you ever seen moneyball ? Lou needs to do what Billy Bean does in moneyball when he tells the coach not to start the first baseman and he does anyways so he trades him so he can't use him anymore

Pretty sure Lou loves all the guys Pete does too though. Seriously though like i don't mind Gio but the minute you start playing him off of fourth line i have a huge problem. He is (frank)ing terrible the guy is all hustle and no talent. And yet he is skating with one of the best players on the team now for what reason? While our 1st rounders sit and waste away and never develop only practicing and getting 5 mins of ice time with camjam every 3 weeks...

Not sure how to feel about the Devils narrowly beating the team with a -33 differential. Glad for the two points, but kind of pointless to overanalyze it too much.

Any update on Larsson ? (frank)ing guy has been out since November.I also know what you mean with Gio. Why does he get to play on the top line with Patty and JJ and Teds get to play with scrubs. Some guys seem to get set up pretty well to succeed while others get set up to fail. If you believe Pete is a smart guy then you have to believe he does these things to make himself look right about things. Like when he says he gives guys every oppertunity and pp time yet they where on for the last 15 seconds of the pp and started in the other end. .

He has a problem with Swedes can't convince me he doesn't. I agree with you on JJ but not with Teddy. He has been giving pretty good looks with good players this year whether it be with Elias or Henrique. Granted he could maybe use an extra game with him but he has at least been put on some real lines. Josefson though im pretty has never been giving a real shot under this guy. Makes no sense he is smart hockey player even if he doesn't ever learn to score and better than Gio. Gio isn't really fast he just looks like he is moving fast cause he is so small. He gets so much credit for such little things while Josefson gets bashed for not producing. Blows my mind.

For example with how there is clearly a double standard for swedes look no further than this weekend. Gelly and Boucher where both terrible against columbus like just horrendous. If boucher's name was Markus Sandersson i know for a fact he would of never played against the Islanders. And if Gelly was Larsson he would be benched still right now. Also Larsson hurt his knee against SJ and it just lingered he said. Thought he be back in a week ended up being a month but he is close. Started skating with the team same with Carter who also said it was his knee from that fight and not a concussion.

Marty and Corey played great and Lokti sucks ass.
Oh yeah we went scoreless again on the shootout against Columbus; Jagr, Elias, and Clowe all swings and misses.

Another guy being given every chance this year and not doing poop with it. At least he is finally being demoted to the 4th line. Been pretty invisible unless he is turning the puck over all year.

I have thought the last 3 or so games Teddy has played he has stood out in good ways to me but has been taken out immediately it's like he has to score or he is going to be a scratch. That one game against the hawks he was likely our best forward and everytime he was out there something good was happening for us. I literally think the slow as sin Jagr, Zubs and Zajac line saw the offense zone once that entire game while Teddy had a handful of chances. I honestly don't think skill wise Brunner is much if at all better then Teddy just has gotten way better chances, linemates and minutes and although he has been scratched he has played more then 7 games in a row to get in a rhythm where Teddy is in and out kind of hard to find any sort of consistancy when all you are thinking about is what the hell do you got to do to not get taken out all these guys who have produced more have a security blanket where Teddy and JJ don't that makes it a lot harder because they know if they don't score they are out , if they make one defensive mistake they are out, if they take a penalty they are out. It's just way to hard for them to do anything with circumstances like those.

That is a guy that Kovalchuk completely carried. Some people might say Parise and Kovy made Henrique seem better then he is but Henrique can play and can be a great player he is a hell of a penalty killer isn't horrible at f/o's can create offense on his own and for others. I have been saying this for a while but a lot of the guys we brought in and have to be secondary scorers are guys who can't do anything for themselves they are all johnny on the spot guys who need elite talent and are good round out pieces for a team but you can't have to many of them and we do.
