Ha! Yeah. It wasn't pretty at the start, and they had to score late to force overtime, but two points is two points.

I was worried when Bryz stoned Lecavalier...He got beat bad by Giroux, but Raffl's move was dynamite. Great patience and fantastic shot for the kid. |

i was too. bryz overchallenged and lost his angle of the raffl goal. nice move, and great hands to hit the net for the winner. |

The Giroux goal encapsulates Bryz -- I do think he's a very good "system" goalie. I have little doubt that if he finds the right team, he will be fine.
But his reflexes are simply average, at best, for NHL goaltenders. As we all know, he can't even move most of the time if you get a quick one off, in stride. |

I don't have that much patience shooting when I'm shooting in warm ups |

My guess is, he was trying to guess what Giroux was going to do and got frozen. Perron tried to do same to Mason |

I didn't mean that to sound critical of Bryz, if it did -- he absolutely did battle tonight, and I do think he'll be fine. He just needs to play for the right kind of team, the right kind of coach.
I think he'd be pretty tough in a Hitchcock system, for example.

Put 2 points in the ledger and move on.
It's good to see Bryz is still a bit of a sideshow, with his chat with Perron after a goal and tossing his stick up in the air after another. He does entertain.
No Hall or Nugent-Hopkins on the shootout?
Giroux made it look too easy. And Rooftop Raffl for the win! |
