Enough to know that he's rarely engaged enough to put up those numbers on a regular basis. If you think Patches is worth more than Kesler right now you're on glue. - golfingsince
Agreed on both counts |

HAHA I meant kelsers greater than "patches" and subban greater than edler
I think its a fair trade gives Vancouver powerplay help and someone to play with sedins on the wing. Canadiens get a number one center with size whos a excellent two way player and elder also adds size on the back end who also has a offensive mind - islandcanucks
Kesler>Patches
Subban>>>>>>Edler
Thing about Kesler though, despite 2 good seasons, he's really not been impressive throughout his NHL career |

Maybe not as a scorer, but he's always had a Selke type of defensive game. |

Meh. Elite players put up big numbers no matter who theyre with.
This debate is all conjecture. I dont think pacs is an 80 point player on a pereniall basis. I could see 65-75 on a regular basis tho. Still great numbers.
Just not elite - hugefemale dog77
There is no way PAcioreetty is elite. Is he capable of 40 and 80, With the right situation, probably (especially the 40 goals). Would he get it consistently, hell no. |

We already have a solid 2-way center in Plekanec who only gets 3rd line wingers. Kesler, while an upgrade physically and defensively, isn't an upgrade offensively and, therefore, doesn't fit the "number one center" billing he was given. |

(frank) no. Because no matter what, we lose the best player in that deal. |

2011-2013 to date:
KESLER GP- 133 G-41 A-47 P- 98
PACIORETTY GP- 152 G- 63 A- 60 P- 123
I guess we are both on glue but yours is better!
Not to mention Kesler had better linemates during same period! |

Currently the Oilers are picking 2nd overall...you surprised? I am, by this this point in the season I thought they would be picking 1st. |

So Kesler's third line wingers are Santorelli and Higgins, yet he has still scored 15 goals and 26 pts. I imgaine if he had first line wingers he'd have first line numbers. |

Max signed until 18-19 .... at 4.5 ... he is not going out of town ....
Subban is a RFA ... he doesnt have the power to ask for what he wants ... if MTL wants they can wait for a team to make an offersheet that they will match ... again not going away ......... My god this is bullcrap ... You are telling me that a small rumour dude from philly knows more about the internal affair of this team when they are over 3 millions fans and reporters watching this team every move ...
THANK GOD FOR ENGEL ... |

OK, so even if I add his super season of 41 goals he would have 161 points in 215 games! Average of 0.749 points per game.
And Pacioretty over same span 147 points in 189 games! Average of 0.778 points per game.
Plus Pacioretty is cheaper on Cap and younger.... so YES I believe his value is more than Kesler.....
Enjoy your glue. |

Cuz it's all about points right?
The glue is all yours. Only a Habs homer would think Pacs is worth more than Kesler.

Point proven.... I'm talking hockey and you don't understand the analogy. Instead of just saying one is better than the other PERIOD..... bring facts to support your opinion |
