Gardiner for Del Zotto? Why?

I think the Leafs would be better served using an expendable asset like Gardiner to improve their forward core for some more consistent scoring...what would Edmonton give for a guy like Gardiner?
Then go after a guy like Gleason to add some experience on the blue line...I can't see him costing much more than a 1st...though Carolina could be in the playoff hunt for awhile considering how bad the Metro division is

I think the best option to do right now is trade/put fraser and ranger on waivers. Trade Liles for Gleason as gamble/potential buyout later if he does not work out. Dont trade Gardiner, but target Girardi if available. Hold on to gardiner a bit longer until a key "piece" comes by and is offered that could help upfront

Id rather have gards than del zotto

Carolina is trying to dump Gleason and his salary. If Nonis offered a first for a guy who is only playing 15 mins a night on a non playoff team, with 1 point and a -7 on the year, he should be insta-fired.

I bet any team that agrees to take gleason without giving salary back gets him on the cheap

where did I say that ? where did I even allude to it ? it's a fact he missed the empty net

that's not to say the leafs may not have not won anyhow, but the fact remains he missed a wide open net to give the leafs the win, not a save by Bernier.

- Rayven

Yeah Lupul's dandy shootout goal had nothing to do with the win, it was all Girgensons missing the net...

you realize if he scored it only would have only extended the shootout right? It is pretty silly to bash a goalie because he didnt "save" the puck on a shot that missed the net, troll on!

Paul Ranger is a solid -11 in his last 11 games...at what point does a guy like Brennan/Granberg/Percy get a chance?

They played well in the 2nd period and ot. They scored one goal in the shootout and only one buff player hit the net on the shootout, not sure how they "deserved" the win?
But they won, so leaf nation can rejoice!

- Fakepartofme

Were you drunk?...seriously...

None of this even remotely explains how they didn't deserve last nights win. poop is just getting stupid crazy with our fans now, this is getting beyond ridiculous.

The most amazing thing is that mistakes have only ever happened twice before in the history of the universe, also in the Leafs favor.

No other entity has ever benefited from a mistake made by another entity; ever.

You have a most annoying way of expressing yourself, but it's kind of like going by a car crash--I can't help but notice your snarky cynicism, combined with a desperate sarcasm that reeks of desperation to be accepted in spite of your shartcomings...yes, I spelled that correctly.

Fun game to watch last night, especially now all you Leafs fans can accept John Scott as the scoring machine he truly is, and not a talentless goon who makes your players crap their pants without even throwing a punch.

Fun game tonight. I like what Reilly will be in a few years, kid can really skate and seems pretty solid for his size. Drew Doughty lite
- sbroads24

Kid skates better than doughty... Needs some finesse though. Could have scored twice with a deek last night. Needs to spend some time with Kadri

(frank) your bush league team, (frank) John Scott and (frank) you for slagging our good man Aetherial.

He has been accepted, with open arms, in this thread. Your team lost. You're sad. You're bitter. Your team is poop, junk. You're sad. You're bitter. This, somehow, is all Aetherials fault and the only positive thing you can say about your joke franchise is that John Scott is a scoring machine.

And, for the record, my favourite part of your post was "desperate sarcasm that reeks of desperation". That's some mind blasting poop right there.
