it will be a number of moves that were similar.. losing a role player in komarov.. choosing bozak over grabo... not resigning mac to go another route.. not playing a vet PMD like liles who low and behold clears the zone rather effectively for mid pairing guy..

but good ol carlyle and his concrete head are so set in his ways anyone who doesnt fall into line goes away.

Well, we all can't agree on everything. Both Phaneuf supporters and haters make good points to support their beliefs. There really is no right or wrong answer at this point, so it is what it is.

One thing we can all agree on, I hope, is that we have two very winable games this weekend against junk teams and the Leafs HAVE to take advantage. They also need more than just simple wins, they need some convincing back to back wins in regulation. Go Leafs Go!

I think we all know how I feel about Bozak. It was a terrible move. I'm still puzzled as to how they could use up their two compliance buyouts on Grabbo and Komi, and be stuck with Liles.

I wish I could agree with you on Liles. But the truth is, he was absolutely terrible since the concussion. He was my favourite d-man before then. But he simply doesn't deserve ice time. And I don't know what the solution is.

If they had decided in June that he had no future with the club, they should have bought him out and let Komi twist in the wind for another year (or bought out Komi and had it count against the cap).

But to me, the biggest problem with the Leafs right now is the lack of Bolland.

If they miss the playoffs, it will be because of Bolland's injury.

You must not have been a Grabitesky fan. Speaking of dogs, I hope Orr or McLaren(if they play) tune up John Scott and make him their female dog. Like they have in the past. (if the team is losing, or they can do it without taking penalties)

I think if we miss the playoffs it will be because the offense failed us more than our D. Our strenghts should have been goal scoring and goaltending. So far, the offense has been far below our recent level, and not just scoring but offensive zone presence. If they can't help the D in their own and continue to not be able to score consistently then it really doesn't matter if one or two guys are missing from the line up.
