Dear Shero,
When it comes to trading this season please say know to trading away 6"4 defenseman who can move the puck and have started to play more physically. You don't need a top 6 winger as Bennett can be plugged in when he returns. Go get a 3rd line winger. Or and I know this doesn't happen often but sign and trade Nisk or Orpik. |

I guy I would love to see in a Pens uniform (not that he's available, just hypothetically) would be Tommy Wingels from San Jose. He instantly adds some physicality to your 3rd line, but also has some scoring ability. Plus i see him in the Chris Kunitz mold. |

Frankly there both overrated IMO. Not bad players but nowhere near star players like Pittsburgh and Carolina thought they were. - twpguy
I know a team in Eastern PA that would crave to have either overrated player.
Who exactly thought Sutter was a star player? You Philly fans need a clue.

Despres would be the most likely guy to be moved. He has value, Niskanen is a pending UFA. - Ryan_Wilson
I wouldn't deal him at all.

Staal was hidden behind Crosby and Mailkin He does not and never will have the skills to be a playmaker or goal scorer in this league. Just does not have that kind of talent. Good defense but never more than that. Whatever offense they got from him was just a bonue. But more is expected of a Number 2 overall pick in this league today. He is getting paid like it but will never live up to it |

Well they dodged a bullet with Malkin's injury but weren't able to do it again with Dupes. |

You would think Shero's hand would be forced into doing something but, they have been on such a run that I wonder if he doesn't just sit back and wait to see how it settles out ? They are very safe (at least right now) of securing a playoff spot , that's the only thing that has to happen , so maybe he doesn't get shook and waits a month or so ? |

Penguins division is terrible and they have a nice lead. There is no need to panic right now but there will have to be a significant move made for the playoffs at some point now. |

Shero will make a hockey trade sooner, rather than later. I just dont see a 4th liner in Vitalie playing on Sid's line from now until cup run. Ray needs to acquire a true No 1 winger that can speed and scoring; players like E. Kane, Hall or Eberle. |

They have time to sit back and think their situation out. Vitale isn't an ideal top line guy but for now it doesn't matter. They have a sizable division lead which provides a safe buffer zone. |

I am a huge Jags fan but I just don't see him as being a fit this season.
Ott and Moulson would be
also Matt Cooke |

Moulson would be nice, but i think Ott would be the best acquisition for the Pens. Gives your that grit with scoring ability the 3rd line really needs. A 3rd line of Sutter-Ott-Bennett would be very interesting. |

Not gonna be interesting because it's not gonna happen. With Duper out for the season, Bennett will play with Kuni and Crosby when he returns. |

Not if #58 is part of the trade discussion. In order to get one of the guys i mentioned, it will take Letang to make it work. |

No, but i just dont see the Jets doing that. They already have a pretty good, puck moving defenseman in Enstrom, albeit he is not having his best season this year, and Big Buff to get offense from the blue line. A team with Bryan Little as their leading scorer does not want to give away probably their best offensive player. |

Moulson: no thanks-he cant skate & would never be able to keep up with Kunitz & Sid.
Ott: would love to have on our team but Shero will have to greatly overpay for his services. |

I think the only guy in that group you could get would possibly be Eberle. The Oilers would be dumb to trade Hall, who is coming into his own as a top 10-15 guy in the NHL at age 22. |

Bennett must prove he can stay healthy before he gets a shot at the top line. |

Fine by me. Letang for Eberle straight up. Eberle is about Sid's size, has great speed and obviously can score a lot of goals...also is under contract until 2018 at a very reasonable cap hit ay $6 mil per. |
