edit, now with Gus out we have L Schenn Grossmann & Gill all in the same lineup
which is fine for say, 1974

Is Grossmann good for tomorrow night?

Minn just got beat up pretty good by the Rangers, they're gonna be hungry for a win tomorrow. But hopefully tired and thinking about Santa.

Agreed. It would be pretty f'n horrible to move another top 5 pick and watch him blossom elsewhere in a year.

he's only 24, I'm not moving him, unless, he's in a package with a young forward for a, oh man, I'm going to say it, top defenseman

whew that was tough, this defense is giving me damn nightmares & Homer should have to sit in a dark room with every season ticket holder until he fixes it

I haven't heard anything on him, still wondering what happened to Downie, and how Homer clarified that he doesn't have the dreaded "C" word

Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun: The Rangers are said to be the most desperate team to make a deal. GM Glen Sather has been working the phones, looking at deals involving Michael Del Zotto and Dan Girardi. Girardi will be a UFA and the Rangers may be seeing what they could get for him

THIS

why is that goof looking to move Girardi? (this isn't the first I heard of this)

Girardi a UFA next summer? He could be a nice replacement for a defensive defenseman if we were to unload 1 or 2 via trades.

I would love him, unless of course he pulls a Ham-Hoos, doesn't resign & our asset goes bye bye

Sather somehow managed to put a team together where 13 of the 22 guys are all hitting FA(be it UFA or RFA status) all in the same year. This includes their captain, their starting goaltender(just extended), 5 of their 7 D men( perpetually injured Marc Staal is one of two they've got btw). They are no doubt going to lose some good players over the next year.

Good f'n lord, that is a mess.
