I'll give Marone the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sold on Hackett and EJ will never pan out. Draft a QB. - Pairo11
Isn't Aaron Murray coming out? He tore his ACL and will probably fall to the 3rd round or so. I would draft him if I could |

He's my fav QB in this draft
His height will also hurt him
Tough to say how he'll be as a pro, but I'd take him in the 3rd or 4th and see ho he develops |

I'm torn on what I want the Isles to do with this years pick...
If it's 2nd overall,
I can't see any way they'd pass on Ekblad
They need defense so badly, and he's the best prospect to come out in quite a while on the backend
I think they're gonna stink next year as well
I just don't see major UFAs signing there, and I don't think their young guys will develop fast enough to help them this coming season...
It's kind of crazy to think, but...
We could get Reinhart this year
And then possibly McDavid AND Eichel next draft
Wow, that would be something
I'd say that would solve our lack of scoring forwards really quick
Here's some more info on Eichel,
Pretty good read

As long as the pick is high, i'm fine with whichever pick they give us.

It's a small price to pay though. I pretty much have a 4 day weekend every week.

They're a top 10 D already. If they pick up a solid strong side LB to plug the run they'll be great !
Now if they can only address that QB position.

If they pick 2nd, they better watch out who picks first. There are other teams who may want Ekblad 1st overall, so if they keep the pick thinking they'll get their defensive help, they could be sorely mistaken.
Not that Reinhart would be a bad choice for them, obviously. |

I like the optimism (dreaming), I really do, but I keep reminding myself that there is only a 25% chance we get the 1st overall pick this year. Don't want to assume anything as it will likely lead to disappointment.

I'm fine with that if they make it clear it is only for the remainder of the season while they wait for the guy they want to become available.

Im not sold on Manuel, but he's played 10 regular season games and 2 preseason games. Not all rookies are RG3 and Russel Wilson. He's already 10x the player Geno Smith is - sbroads24
I agree in theory, but my problem is that there isn't much I've seen, even in the "flashes" department that makes me say, "this guy is going to be great". There's been some to tell me "he could be good", but not great. And that's what worries me. I want the standard to be higher. |

They were literally scary enough this year. With a little more effort, the Bills might have had a winning record. |

Manuel has all the tools . The question is can he bring them all together ? The biggest mistake the Bills made was not having a seasoned veteran backup that Manual could talk to and help tutor him along the way . That is the way most teams bring along a young quarterback . Especially when you have him starting .
It is far too early to throw in the towel on Manuel . Not enough of a body of work to make a final judgement . Besides does everyone forget he was a rookie? Besides we cannot waste a high draft pick on another quarterback this year . The team has far too many other pressing needs to move forward . If you desire a another quarterback so bad you take a flyer on one in the 6th or 7th round. |

Add a little depth and pay Byrd and should be pretty good.
With EJ Hes going to be good, good gets you to 8-8, in the next two years if you can get a good Qb in the 2-3 rd id be all for it. |

Not to use it as an excuse but the injuries haven't helped him develop. After that Carolina game I thought he had that I have arrived moment. But again a bunch of injuries slowed his growth down. I am not too concerned with the injury issues as I don't think he is injury prone like a Mike Vick since only one of his injuries happened while scrambling (Cleveland).
You have to remember you have a rookie QB and an offensive line that was not nearly as good as it was last year. Yes EJ has had some accuracy issues but I think he has all the tools and the brain for the game to be a good starting QB in this league. If our D gets another play making LB (Khail Mack please) I think that solves the run D issues not that there were any yesterday. Also I want another year of Mike Petine here before he leaves to become a head coach. |
