If you can't make it on the Red Wings.....pack it in because you stink.

They have been a pretty good judge of talent. He did good in Philly. Played pretty good with Grigo until the season started and he was off the team with an Timmy injury. That seemed to screw up Grigs too. Time to move on.

I'd love Stastny to be our number 1 center next year, but that is a long shot signing him in my opinion. I guy like Legwand could slip into that 2nd center role for a short term deal, hopefully by then Reinhart could take the 1st or 2nd center spot. Our D is going to be terrible next year. I dont know if any FA dman could fix that for next year, but maybe. I dont mind Enroth /Hackett next year, it's still to be seen if these guys are long term solutions in the crease though.

I'll take Stastny and or Brad Richards if the Rangers buy him out.

I think Grigs confidence is shot and I blame Darcy for that, the kid was not ready and like I have said before you don't put a kid like that on the 4th line so he can "learn". No way that should have happened, play him or trade him.

Good point forgot about Richards. He would be a good option as well if he is bought out.

About 1 minute in, Friedman says there's some suspicion that LaFontaine will appoint himself as GM.

Spector mentioned that Goose will be bought out by the Preds, not saying we should bring him back just pointing that out.

Him or Prendergast IMO, I don't like that option at all. LaFontaine said he wanted someone else as the GM not himself.

Has he really been that bad for them? With the cap going up I can't see it as a cap casualty

Me either. If that is what ends up happening, there is still some serious dysfunction going on in that Sabres organization.

If LaFontaine names himself as GM that would lead me to believe the Bruins and the Pens won't let either guy go as of now.

8 or 10 points with almost 400 FA wins so far, I think I might be off on the points.

Agreed . Too much hype from the media and nothing productive on the ice.

Theres been rumors from the start that LaFontiane would give himself the job. I can't see it from his comments he made about himself at the start of the process. He would make himself look stupid if he did

Maybe he will take over until the season is done, then hire whoever is supposedly is not available right now.

That's the problem with going through a rebuild and using all these kids that aren't ready, does not help them grow it hurts them IMO.

Maybe it is LaFontaine, the media in Canada would have leaked something by now if it was Benning or Botteril. They mentioned LaFontaine from what was just posted here.

In a way that isn't too bad of an idea. Devine pics the draftees. Let Patty run the team till the season ends . Good chance we won't be all that great next year.

If we could sign Miller to a 3 year deal. (won't happen) I could live with it. But he is too high in age (damn that makes me feel old) to take on another contract after the 3yr one is up.
- cabin

I think Miller signs with the team that gives him the best opportunity to win a championship. It won't be Buffalo.
