I think you meant Girgs?

Heck, I'd let Grigorenko spend all of next season in Rochester. If we draft Reinhart, that will be an interesting call, back to Junior or Buffalo? TB sent Drouin back to Jr so ya never know.

Yep Meant Girgs. and agree on Grigs playing a year too .

I'd be shocked if we can keep Moulson, and I could see Ott moving on too... I'd like to keep them both, but I won't be surprised if they wanna go to a team ready to win right away

If that happens our lines don't look so hot
And freaking Leino would prob end up not getting bought out!

I'm watching Elf, and I've probably seen it 20+ times, but just now noticed during the new broadcast part where they show Buddy walking through the park that the "veteran" news anchor guy picks on the new female field reporter and says something like "I don't know what you covered in Buffalo, but here news comes first"

A few thoughts.

I wouldn't mind Stastny as the #1 C but don't want to pay him north of $7m. Cogliano or Bolland wouldn't be bad as 2C. I also wouldn't mind signing a vet d man on a 1 year deal for depth. Who is in goal, Enroth and Hackett? I would be ok signing McCormick but a 4th line of Omark-Larsson-Flynn would be ok. You could always sign McClement or Konopka for some toughness on the 4th.

If McCormick could start putting the puck in the net . I'm all for keeping him. Also makes a 3rd line center in an emergency. Let Ework and Hackett battle it out. Hackett could flourish with a good goalie coach helping him every non game day.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't mind signing Dubynyk. Not sure on Hackett at this point.

Your not crazy. Hackett is still unproven. Still young. no real experience. Goalie thoughts will have to come up around say... March. so we can avoid talk of them till then .

Need to move Hodgson to the 2nd line and get a number 1 Center, IMO that D is still weak i'm sure we can address that later. Sabres will have money to spend with the buy out of Leino and the cap going up.

IMO you could put Enroth in the same category as Hackett.

Enroth is far and away much better than Hackett....not even close. He can be a starter in this league...Hack is hangin by a threat in Roch and is a headcase.

True . With Miller here we will never know eithers capacity . So ? Miler is here and it's up to him and the brass if he stays. Until then , everyone is wasting keyboard ink regarding the goalie situation.

If the only thing they do in the off season is buyout Leino I'll be happy, 4 more years at 4.5 mill is crazy.

I don't like the way this team plays without Miller in goal, they should wake up because we don't know what will happen with him from here on out.

If we could sign Miller to a 3 year deal. (won't happen) I could live with it. But he is too high in age (damn that makes me feel old) to take on another contract after the 3yr one is up.

He won't take 5 years to stay here unless it's 7 mill a year, the Ducks will move Hiller at some point I would think and I still think Miller goes there.

Many outlets have said that will be the first thing the Sabres do this offseason.

I did have better hopes for him.

.... FAIL.

I'd love Stastny to be our number 1 center next year, but that is a long shot signing him in my opinion. I guy like Legwand could slip into that 2nd center role for a short term deal, hopefully by then Reinhart could take the 1st or 2nd center spot. Our D is going to be terrible next year. I dont know if any FA dman could fix that for next year, but maybe. I dont mind Enroth /Hackett next year, it's still to be seen if these guys are long term solutions in the crease though.
