Agreed. It will be a nice to have a team concept (Patty, new GM and Devine) working together to make the decisions moving forward.

Pretty much why it doesn't matter what GM we end up with. As long as he has some experience with the other GM's and a good repport with them .

I know the re-build is on but if Nolan comes back next year, you'll see only a handful of kids up here and it wouldn't surprise me if they dabble into free agency next summer. Nolan prefers to have the kids develop in the minors as opposed to force feeding them into NHL competition.

I wouldn't be suprised to see them keep Ristolainen down another year. Even though I think he's almost ready now

some of them could really use that. Most have had a taste of the big league. And whats expected under him. Remember we need to suck another year and then win the cup the next year

I will let the coaching staff be the judge on who is ready. They see way more than we do. We are stuck on Buzz and they are reviewing game films. So as long as they do a good job i'm ok with it .

All of the names mentioned as candidates have plenty of experience so they really can't miss.

It wouldn't hurt his development any by keeping him in Rochester and making him the first call up next year. They can use Pysyk and McNabb ahead of him. These kids need to settle into the North American game so guys like Risto, Zads and Armia should play in the A till they're ready.

I have a gut feeling it's Benning, just listening to Nolan rave about Boston being the way you build a team.

Agreed . Grigs did good with the year down there . He gets it. Too young in the NHL and they pretty much think. "yaaah I made it , lets party" Well that seems to be what they have done on the Sabres anyways .

Our D next year should be Myers, Ehrhoff, McBain, Weber, Pysyk, McNabb, Ruhwedel. I'm done with Tallinder and Sulzer. I would also be open to signing a FA.

Let Risto and Zads pile up big minutes in Rochester.

I think you meant Girgs?

Heck, I'd let Grigorenko spend all of next season in Rochester. If we draft Reinhart, that will be an interesting call, back to Junior or Buffalo? TB sent Drouin back to Jr so ya never know.

All of the signs seem to point that way. I think we'd be shocked if it was anybody else.

Agree totally. He needs to learn what it is to compete against men. If that kid can get his "compete" on, he will be a player.

I do think Ristolainen is ready though
As long as he isn't overwhelmed, it might be good to get him back competing against NHLers next year

Thad is good at moving the chains and not so good in the red zone. He is one of the better backups in the league though.
