Has anyone talked about how Compher got cut from the USA world JRs team?
That sucks
I was really looking forward to watching him on that stage

I really wanted to see Hodgson take a step forward and be a leader. He's disappointed IMO this year
- sbroads24

The team as a whole hasn't stepped up. Can't be just one player to blame. (unless its the goalie ) Hard to get on one player . the goal scoring from anyone has been beyond dismal.

I think it's way too early to tell on the Pominville trade. If Zadarov turns out to be a good top 4 defensemen it's a pretty even deal, plus Larsson is still really young.
I'm afraid we lost the Hodgson trade to he honest. Cody has been average at best so far and hasn't taken a step forward, Kassian is looking more and more like that power forward that can score.

- sbroads24

i love the hodgson point. i never bothered mentioning it because i thought it was universally accepted that hodgson was the second coming and kassian was a disruptive 235 pound crybaby. i saw the trade and said "great we just traded a guy that could become todd bertuzzi for derek roy, minus the skating and defensive ability". i want them to get elite talent and then get bigger. you can say that im wrong, but darcy reached for low hanging fruit for a long long time.

I hear ya
But this team has been overwhelmed from the start
Once we clear out the rest of the dead weight, and our UFAs are traded, I think Cody will be able to take on the type role you're talking about
He's still very young and developing
Best is still to come IMO

That makes sense then

Possler's season is over ..

December 21, 2013 By Henrik Sjöberg
Category: Other

It's easy to suffer with Gustav Possler right now.

A few days ago , he left the JVM squad and investigations revealed that he was headed for surgery. Meanwhile, Markus Naslund clear that the club currently does not have an economy strong enough to replace him. Here you can read the article from last Thursday.

The damage is so severe that the season is over . I got the info yesterday that it involves an injury to the cruciate ligament and after the upcoming surgery waiting a long road back . The club works to as soon as possible to implement the procedure so Possler can start to look forward again.

I can not make a medical diagnosis with the four months to SM - finals is decided and it's probably a tough time frame to set up. Looking at others riding on ACL injuries, it is very individual how long it might take. Some may be back very quickly about various details along the way falls in the right place .

Having searched Possler and Naslund today to get some more answers , but failed.

We'll see exactly what the club will say but unfortunately we have probably seen the last of him for this season in SHL .

He has 7 goals already. On pace for more than Eager has ever scored in a season. He also is only what 22.. That trade doesn't look as one sided as it did a year ago

I'd imagine that Grigorenko will have a good showing
It'll be interesting to see what we do with him after
I think they should play him at center, with DECENT linemates, and let him stay in the same spot for the rest of the year
I think he's getting jerked around way too much

Agreed. Not saying I don't like the trade but with Hodgy being hurt all the time and horrible defense it certainly looks like Hodgson will not turn into that #1 Center we were all hoping he'd be.
