Wish I could be there

Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me. Early this week I heard WGR talking about the NYI deferring their trade of the 1st round for Vanek to next year. Is this actually possible? I thought the trade involved their 2014 1st round pick. Can they decide to wait until 2015? Just curious if I heard that correctly.

It is true . that was the condition on the trade . They can defer the pick till next season if they want.

They have the right to defer the 1st rd pick to 2015 if the 2014 pick is top 10.

It is top 10 protected for 2014.

A&E has the right to fire him all he wants. But where does the fact that the media has painted him as a hillbilly whacko Christian that hates gays come into play (because that is actuall what this was about). Anyone that is a Christian is considered a whacko and behind the times b the liberal media. IMO we need more like Phil in this country and less like Nancy pelosi.

The way I look at it is they will have two crappy seasons so it will benefit us no matter what year we get. We have a nice selection of draft choices.

I watched the game, and I saw what 999/1000 other people saw. Both Scott and Kessel admitted to what I just said. Soon as the puck dropped, Scott dropped his gloves and reached for him. How is that not jumping him? Im not entirely sure you watched the whole situation without wearing your John Scott glasses.

I dont think it was that bad of a hit. Think Schenn turned on him before impact. He did charge him though.

Personally I think the biggest issue going un-talked about is Schenn not given a concussion test and the Flyers rolling him out the next game. Especially after he came out and said "I dont remember much of the play".... So much for concerns over "player safety".
