Get off Scott , You are getting worse than another poster that keeps condemning the hiring of Ted Nolan and Pat LaFontaine . Who in the league office told you they are trying to get rid of fighting . No ONE !!! The majority of hockey fans still like to see fights . Fact is if the instigator rule was gone . We would see a lot less of these cheap shots we are seeing .
I believe Ted will work with John and make him a better hockey player and he will be an even more useful member of this team . Like I said ask the Sabre players if they have a problem with John being around.

They make guys fight with helmets on, what more proof do you need that it's being taken out of the game. I want this organization to be forward thinking. Having a talent less goon to protect guys with no skill seems pointless. If there are no young guys are star players for him to protect then why exactly is he here? To make people laugh?

Agreed . ya don't like the show turn the f'n channel . Takes less energy than female doging about it and causing grief to those that don't care what you think.

Again, comes down to getting attention. They would do better raising their kids to respect the human race.

So all the other goalies in the league must be getting run left and right then?
The numbers prove he's an awful player, our record proves him being here does nothing to help the team. People like him because they like fighting, that's it. I'm pretty confident Scott will not be here next year when a new GM is here, and wouldn't be suprised to see him waived at some point. The last 2 games proved he literally makes no difference and they are better with other guys in his place

I don't watch the show but I know plenty that do . They are good old boys with the best duck call in the world . But they also have family values . People have taken his comments far too seriously . Like I said - freedom of Speech - That is what I believe in.

Seems everyone feels the same . We want the team to get better but still want the great picks this year and next. It's not gonna be easy dealing with this team.

They won 2 games without him in the lineup . That proves he is awful ? You don't think other teams do not watch their actions because they do not want to see him dressed next time they play us ? I am sure he won't be around next year . But there are much bigger issues to worry about than John Scott on this years team.

I don't see them paying him what HE thinks he is worth.

Just like there are better options than Cody Hodgson as a number 1 center or better options than Henrik Tallinder as a top 4 defensemen

Phil Robertson deserves any criticism he gets. If you don't want to be criticized then don't open your mouth about a topic like that. If I was on TV and my employer didn't want to be associated with my views it's their perogative to fire or suspend me if they want.

Doesn't work that way. the GM doesn't go on NHL whatever and put in a trade and done. Just cause it works on a video game doesn't mean it works in real life. We will never have a complete team of players everyone loves . To crap on a player is only wasting everyones time . We change him out we are no better or worse.He isn't the problem with the team.

You are worse than a leaf fan . Get off your Scott Vendetta . He did not jump Kessel - He scared him but it was Kessel that instigated it . He also did not Target Erckssons head either . It is his fault because he is 6'8" . Chara nails someone in the head and everyone goes - He is 6 foot 8 inches . It is not his fault.
Next it will be Nolan has to go because he likes Scott and he is trying to turn him into a better hockey player.

He most definitely jumped him. He told Kessel he was sorry it was him but he was fighting whoever faced off against him... Scott cant be turned into a better hockey player. He lacks the skating and hands to play effectively. Hes a waste of being on the ice. No one has a problem with him as a person, they have a problem with him as a hockey player.

He has the right to say and do whatever he wants, youre right, and the company he works for, A&E, has the right to fire him for his views if the company doesnt agree with them.

That's not the point though. He is representing a television network. If the network doesn't agree with what he said then they have every right to pull him. Last time I checked A&E doesn't have a Kanye West Miley Cyrus show.

John Scared him did not jump him. What was Carlysle thinking putting him out there? John was already on the ice. Then Kessel starting Jawing at John and actually made the first move . John was laughing at the whole situation . Did you actually watch the game or just read what Leafs fans and bloggers wrote.
