I think its unfortunate that every one in hockey labeled John Scott this scumbag person who cant play hockey. He's not. The Kesel situation was out of control and the Erikson hit was bad but 3 of those happen in this league every night.

It also bothers me too that when Miller got ran twice in 2 starts the league sat on their hands and the media and fans mocked the Sabres that there was nothing they could do about it. They get John Scott and suddenly we have to ban fighting from the game.

You have to earn respect. Ruff and Regeir were not respected by the league. Ruff was a whiner, Regeir was hard to deal with. The signing of John Scott was IMO a bad move from the start. It sent the wrong message. Instead of getting tougher hockey players they employed Kaleta and Scott and just were dirty and just a bad hockey team. I can't stand goons in this league. They don't belong anymore. Staged fighting is being removed from the league as well.

Scott is a great deterrent. Nobody seems to be takin any blindside shots on sabres to much. Maybe because the sabres will let the Cracken loose.

What's so funny about it? He was brought here to beat the piss out of people and stop this fragile team from getting run every night. I don't think you're offering up anything the rest of us don't know when you say he's not a hockey player. Do you think they brought him here to score goals?

This town was screaming for a move of this type to happen after the Miller-Lucic fiasco and it's one of the better moves that Regier made over the past 2 seasons. The team hasn't been on the receiving end of any borderline/dirty plays since Scott has been on the team. The fact that you don't like fighting, goons, staged fights or whatever means nothing because all of that stuff is still a part of the game at this point and time.

Since Nolan has gotten here Scott has played well . He is not out of position . and actually has been putting in around 7 useful minutes a game. And still has two hammers if needed. Fact is the eastern Conference makes it necessary to have enforcers as most of the teams do . Sorry you hate it but he is needed right now.

Since Scott has been around teams tend not to punk us for the fear of Scott He makes a whole $700, 000.00 a year .He is not breaking the bank . He is a great teammate as well , along with being and educated man. Not another bonehead. Are you pissed because you feel it is Luke Adam's roster spot he is taking . If Luke Adam had another speed besides Dead Slow and Stop , he would stick in the NHL . Not Scott's fault.

I'm assuming you didn't watch the Calgary game? He had two minor penalties in 3 shifts and didn't play after. How is that playing well?
Where is Pitts goon to protect Crosby and Malkin? They don't need one. Where is Chicago's goon to protect Toews or Kane? They make it along just fine. We don't need to hide behind Scott, if he can't play he shouldn't play. He wasn't in last night and we were fine without him against big bad Boston

When the news stopped reporting news it all when wrong.

Phil Robertson is the latest victim of a biased and bleeding heart media while Miley damn Cyrus is almost praised. Values are backwards and regardless of your stance on the Phil Robertson thing the fact that he gets attacked and called a hick for what he believes in is just ridiculous.

Ruff was very predictable with his whining. You could practically predict his post games sometimes. It made us all look bad.
