What are they going to do... trot out a top-six of Gallagher, Desharnais, Plekanec, Gionta and Briere?

It was some Big Bang Theory thing. Indian Jones does the following:

1. Acquires the headpiece to the staff of Ra by saving Marian's life from the Nazis
2. Finds the Ark
3. Has the Ark stolen by Nazis.
4. Stows away to the island
5. Stays alive while the Nazis die during the Ark ritual
6. Does not fulfill his ambition to have the Ark in a museum.

If he did not exist, the following would happen:

1-3. The Nazis get the headpiece from Marian and obtain the Ark.
4-5. The Nazis all die during the Ark Ritual.
6. The Ark does not go to a museum.

First, the Big Bang Theory is the worst show in the history of television. I cannot stress this enough, how much I hate this (frank)ing show.

Second, if the Nazis weren't following Indiana Jones on his flight to Nepal, how would they have found Marion Ravenwood?

I have watched it twice, and was not a fan. Not the worst show in the history of television, but it's bad. It's nothing but a constant laugh track, and it's not funny.

Secondly, the intercepted Nazi transmission was to acquire Abner Ravenwood, so chances are they find Marion, although Indy probably expedites their progress.

i was there last night and sit 10 rows up in the opposite cornor from where G launched the gw. it was essentially coming right at me. astonishing goal. ill never forget it.
sorry to be the guy who points out the broken branch on the xmas tree but, this team just isnt that good. except for a couple players, this squad just lacks skill. i dont see them being more than a 500 club. i hope im wrong.

I won't lie: I turned it off after the second out of frustration. My wife and I were watching the Pens game of NHL Network, and she said, "The Flyers are tied 4-4." I asked her 3 times if she was serious. I pulled up the game on my phone and saw there was 1:38 left. I decided I'd give it a minute and watch OT, and ended up turning it on to see 5-4 with 30 seconds left. Not wanting to tempt fate, I quickly switched back to the Pens and followed the countdown on my phone. I regret nothing.

I think this team (forwards-wise) is built to be a playoff type team. They won't skate circles around you, and they have a lot of 2nd/3rd line talent without a load of top-line talent. They can (CAN) get dirty goals. The defense has guys like Timonen, Coburn, and Grossmann who are able to elevate their games in the postseason. If they make the playoffs, they may not be Cup Contenders, but I don't think they'll be a walkover either. The problem is getting there.

Yes but that doesn't explain revelance!
On a serious note the nazi's may never have obtained Marian as John states... Then there's no story, without Indiana Jones.

i dont disagree with you but ill elaborate.

to me, this team is a step slower and lacks passing and puckhandling skills that elite teams have.
why do they struggle against the blue jackets at home? the blue jackets were bad last night and we were essentially lucky to come away with 2 points. i didnt see anyone on the blue jackets, exept maybe johnson, that i would consider a top level nhl player and we trail 3 zip at home going into the third?
effort was there most of the game i thought. but this team just cant finish. and our break out still looks like some of the squirt teams i coached.

Ah, I didn't mean to snap at you. That show bugs the hell out of me for reasons only my therapist would understand.

And I don't think they ever find Marian Ravenwood tucked away in Nepal as a semi-functioning alcoholic running a gin joint. I just don't.

See, I know this team isn't much more than a 500 club. I wallow in it everyday.

But this win, I'm going to enjoy a bit. At least until the next game.

While his play may have fallen off a bit, the coach seems clueless in how to use Danny. For most of the season he has used him as a 3rd or 4th line winger which is NOT how to use Briere
- BiggE

In the regular season, yes it is. Keep his TOI low. Very low. Can't hurt you that way.

But come playoffs, load up the TOI...he's money. MONEY I SAY!!!!

one of the things i love about this group is that a picture of a much younger, yet still bald pierre mcguire turns into debating the reality, plot and hypotheticals of Indiana Jones.

There are always times when an Edmonton or Islanders will defeat a Chicago or Pittsburgh. Heck, Buffalo (30th) beat Boston (7th) last night. Granted, it has happened to the Flyers quite often this season, and I'm not calling them elite. Just saying there are times when a bad team will play above their mean against a good team. I think this team, if it makes the playoffs, could make a little noise and maybe pull off an upset or two.

No one's debating the reality of Indiana Jones. The first and third movies are based on real-life events, while the second is based on some loose-at-best-evidence. The fourth movie was actually filmed as a documentary.
