They have more than 1/2 the points they could have gotten season to date so are therefore over 500, or so it has been explained to me.

They should put the OT wins and Shootout wins in a separate column too but that sounds dumb. We'll only do that for the losses.

Personally, I was always ok with a hard fought tie and I have no taste for the shootout. It's stupid and it ruined the penalty shot being special in the game.

Fair point, but I hate the shootout as well. I just can't support deciding a team game with an individual skills competition. I'd rather they play a 10 min OT and if it wnds in a tie, so be it.

Can you imagine the NFL deciding that if a game is tied after 1 qtr of OT we'll decide the game with a field goal kicking contest?

However since we appear to be stuck with it, it would be nice if the Flyers could work on it a bit!

Raffl is really fast. He negated an icing last night, and just has the wheels to join the play even when he gets out of position, which is rare.

After the 2nd Caps game I thought OK, Jake is going to shoot first and become that top line, all star, mini Jagr he was turning into last season. Then last night he is right back to looking pass first, even when it isn't there. It turned into a shortie against.

There was a breakaway with Jake and G about half way through last night, where they passed the puck back and forth something like five times. "You take, no you take it". I thought I was going to lose my mind. I sounded like the neanderthals at the rink yelling "shoot".

Then in the third both of them made up their mind to shoot. It was great to see.

If Giroux and Voracek look this good with a player playing in his first year on NA ice, then imagine how well they would look with a top winger in the league... Like a Bobby Ryan, or Marian Gaborik.
