and oiler fNs would think he was soft

He would immediately proclaimed by Oil country to be an injury prone defensive liability. I dont deny it.

By that logic, wouldn't we also know if there were locker room issues? All this talk about "Phaneuf isn't a leader", what does that even mean? Are we taking issue with how he is with his teammates or how he is with the fans/media? Does the latter even matter all that much? If people want to criticize Phaneuf for his shortcomings on the ice, that's fine, you can make a case for that. All this "he's not a leader" stuff is so stupid though. There's no way anyone can know that.

captain=fall guy. every team, every market. might be right, might be wrong, but no explanation is needed.

He doesn't play like an inspiring leader.

Looks lazy and emotionless.

Rethink that.

Now clear your mind, former teammates would know.

That is not my point, why has this team not had a closed door meeting yet? You cannot hide that from the media.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense and that's exactly what's going on. Everyone should just admit that they're looking for someone to blame rather than pretend they know what's going on in the dressing room. If it's just about blame, yes, as captain he's open to a lot of that, just like the coach. No one is saying anything about the alternates though, that's odd.

its one singular aspect of the game

can hall wreak havoc in front of the opposing net with a drive like nash?

nope

look beyond the GAP columns.. thats where real hockey is played

that's part of a captain's job, to be the lightning rod and the guy who takes the heat and faces the music night in, night out. it's not an easy thing.

3 wins in last 13 games.... Brutal pinch and giveaway in Florida game that cost 2 of 3 goals....

Rarely lays anyone out anymore at the blue line to at least try and set the tone for the game.....

I can go on....
