I was surprised the NHL made such a common sense ruling on that JVR goal. The puck was under the pad, the pad was in the net. Good goal.

It's Reim Time, baby!

Seriously, this guy has had to battle for every single one of his wins. The team has made his life difficult.

I thought maybe Phaneuf would score on his own net just keep us based in reality.

Refs called it a goal.

Video evidence couldn't overturn it.

No, it was good enough, not a lot of quality shots. The goal he let in was horrible, but the team won.

Fair enough.
I just don't see the point of even bothering with that poop tonight. They won. Reimer played well, gave them chances, and ultimately got them the win. Why does Bernier have to be brought up at all?

I suspect the ref at the goal line saw it in there as Smith was trying to pull it out.

Here's a question: why can't the ref make the goalie get up slowly and methodically? If Smith had just lifted up the one pad, we would have seen it in there. He kicks it out deliberately to obstruct the call.

Right no big deal. Having these two with staggered contract years is perfect, how much does Reimer ask for next year?

I almost think that act is what made up the refs mind that it was in the net cuz right after he did that the ref looks at the other one nods and says its a goal

Yeah, it wasn't a great goal, but he battled back and got us the 2 points.

And there weren't a lot of quality shots because he played a very tidy game. There were some very dangerous chances that just died on his chest.
