Not sure why everyone seems to have Giroux as a shoe-in for this team.

And just to come in last and stir up the pot....Hall was the 6th highest scoring Canadian forward last year and is point a game this year (1 under).

- stormey

yeah but he doesn't drive the net, except when he does.

I hope I'm proven wrong but his numbers and play regressed after he signed his big deal, now in a contract year just like last time, his numbers are back up, it is a pattern.

it really is a strange phenomenon.

Alex Steen? really? good player but come on... no one just becomes an offensive stud at 29 after 10 years in the NHL.

Are you talking about Phaneuf?

Because his numbers aren't up, by any means.

Perhaps when they're healthy for the first time in a few seasons it makes a difference. Playing on a stud team doesn't hurt...

I take option 1, easily.

why spend 9M on two guys who are combined are as good as dion, when you can spend 7M on dion?

It's the same type of logic as saying you'd take two 50 point guys at 4M each over one 100 point guy at 8M.

- Feeling Glucky?

of course i have to spell it out for you.

the two players at 4.5 are going to be as good as dion is PLUS his partner.

dion isnt that good, hence why we are even having this conversation, hes not worth 7.

Unlike Nash, who's teams have been known to perform at the highest level and make the playoffs every yea.... wait, what?
- Pecafan Fan

Look....enough....the bottom line is...Hall only scores points because the Oilers suck. Deal with it.

It was a revelation to all that Kessel still managed to produce last year, with the Leafs making the playoffs and all.

meh, only 3 year contract...everybody and their dog wants 7 or 8 years at his age.

I'm sure the GM jumped when he said he'd accept a 3 year deal.

Id give him that money, especially since the moneys not mine

Hallsy. Ebs is a beaut, but Hall can change the dynamics of a game singlehandedly. Only Hall and RNH should be hands off imo. Nobody else is off limits.

Nash put Columbus on his back and actually got them into the playoffs without a fraction of the talent Edmonton has...

So yes unlike Nash BIG TIME...
