"busy day here"?????
Not trying to be an ass, but I just presumed that you worked from home, and didn't have an office location. Am I Incorrect? - IRON.MAIDEN
i was thinking more along the lines of if its such a busy day we should be given more than 4-5 sentences, with a more to come that will never come |

That's an excellent deal. Steen is a good 2nd line, fringe 1st liner. He got slightly more than Clarkson and with the cap going up he could have cashed in. Props to St. Louis - sbroads24
Fringe 1st liner? Steen would be on the first line of almost every team in the league. |

Steen is def a scary player to sign long term for big dollar. I think its a good deal for STL. Gives them options when theyre kids are gonna need to be resigned. But it is a little crazy that they got him to sign a 3 year deal. Open market he woulda racked in the years and dollars. Most def a sign of commitment. |

Yes the Steen we saw for the 1st quarter of the year. Hes normally a 2nd liner guy. Heck even a 3rd liner. But yes. Steen of right now would be a 1st liner for almost every team. |

Busy day? Then why just report on one yawner of a topic (signing). What a joke! |

Yeah. The guy who's managed to hit 50 points once, and 20 goals twice, in 8 seasons prior to this one is a first liner on every team in the league.
This just in.. If Tyler bozak manages to put up this seasons steen numbers for one fluke campaign, it doesn't make him a first line center on every team in the league. |

Steen is Selke winner right now if he plays on big market team. Take points out of it. Best defensive forward in the league. |

Our best D man for a guy who is nothing more than a 50-55 point player at this point, and who makes 6.6 million?

based on this years hot streak (already 2 goals away from career high) Yes.
based on the fact he has only cracked 50 points once, and his career high is only 51, NO
Guy is a 2nd liner on most teams |

over paid current salary yes based on the last couple season, but will sign around 5.5-6 on the next contract bc he actually is a defensively sound 2 way center, 60pt guy constantly playing against other teams top lines in a shut down roll and is strong on the draw,
Need to look at more than just points when you are comparing 2 way centers worth |

cheechoo = one dimensional player who gave no effort to stay at the top of his game.
steen = all around beast, phenomenal work ethic, makes the guys around him better |

He meant busy day holiday shopping guys. Its crunch time for last minute shoppers.
On a side note.. what's the point in becming a season ticket holder on here? Do you get more rumors?
If it allowed you to block eks opinion/fluff pieces I'd be all over it! |

I have to admit, outside of his drop dead sexy wife I really know nothing of how he performs on the ice.
Big hits from time to time and a face I want to beat in. Is he decent in all zones? |

I think Pavel Datsyuk and Jonathan Toews might have something to say about being the best defensive forward in the league... |

That's a great contract for the Blues. Steen is almost a lock for 30+ goals per season over the course of that deal. |
