open letter to Snow and Wang




I live in Canada I'm 41 years old and been "DIE HARD" Islander fan since the first time Mike Bossy put the Islander Jersey on. . I drive about 3 times a year 4-6 hours to watch them in paly Toronto and Buffalo. $700 to $1000 dollars a trip. I breath orange and blue. It's been very difficult in the last 25 years to be an Islander however. I've been loyal and passionate throughout the years as I was during cup years. We got a little taste of success last year......wow did that feel good. I was proud once again be an Islander fan. Now here we are 2013-2014. Today I canceled my NHL package that was paying 30 dollars a month...I can't continue to watch this team. The fact that you haven't made changes to address the situation is beyond my belief. I respect the fact that the organization is loyal to its employees however; you have to draw the line. It's business just like it was trading Moulson away. I'm sure Capuano is a good person maybe even a good coach but, the metldowns this team is having is unacceptable. Winning 2 out 18-19 games is mindboggling. If I came to work and performed 2 out 19 days let me tell you something there would be changes. The players are not responding to the coaching staff.You have done well in the drafting area however, that doesn't mean anything if these wonderful prospects are not developing well. To me that's the coaching responsibility...which he has failed. We need something from the organization to let us know that you care about the fans because it doesn't appear you do. I hope somehow you read this post so you understand the fans are gradually becoming more and more angry, frustrated and are giving up on this team....if they haven't already. I just watched the John Spanno documentary...I'm thinking to myself nothing has really changed in the organization. At least Spanno gave us a little hope eventhough he was fraud.

Vanek, Bailey , Poulin and Donavan or Amac for..... Gardier , Van Riemsdky , Reimer and #1 pick........Bring up Lee to replace Bailey and Van Riemsdky replaces Vanek. Gardier is top 4 dman on can play PP.

Vanek is a HUGE problem. He makes around $7Mil a year, he isn't even close to playing at an elite level.

Trading Moulson was a HUGE mistake. This team formed chemistry and you cut the heart out of it from the "core"

I know we are upset Grabner isn't scoring but he certainly brings other attributes to the ice. Josh Bailey on the other hand.....

We need D. IMO everything is built around the D. Good D creates better offense.

I happen to agree we need Moulson back. If not for skill how about for chemistry. He and JT compliment one another and make each other better players.

Maybe put Nelson on the first line and Vanek with Nielsen. That should create some secondary scoring. In truth none of it matters if we don't get a couple of capable, big bodied D men who can play hockey.

The only difference btn them is Wang and snow are frauds that don't give us hope.

Enough with the Vanek-is-the-problem nonsense. Vanek is not even close to the problem. He is playing fine. He's not playing like Ovechkin, not is he playing like John Sim (or Josh Bailey). Vanek is in the only line doing anything offensively.

The problem is on "D", where Vanek doesn't play. The problem is that the second, third and fourth lines contribute virtually no scoring. The problem is that Boulton is as effective an offensive player lately as Grabner and Bailey. That's pathetic.

and enough with this chemistry crap. Moulson and JT had great chemistry. I get it. But JT hasn't missed a beat since the trade and Vanek hasn't been bad. Besides, it's not as if this team was winning before the Moulson-Vanek trade.

When someone says they think Moulson being traded is the reason the team is in the state it is I lose a little respect for whoever said it. There are so many blatantly obvious things wrong with this team Moulson being gone is definitely not one of them.
