Now now, Bailey is starting to wake up and Grabner is finishing checks and getting better at attempting shots....Grabner also drives a Bentley - a sure sign of success no? - WolfmanIsles
Bailey only missed the net by seven feet on that breakaway! Two feet closer and he's right there with Grabner! |

Eh...I don't totally disagree with you though if I know about the players in this system and Barclay's around the corner, I'd give it consideration. I think ultimately Wang is willing to pony-up for Vanek which means he can bring in a damn fine contract. He can play with one of the top 5 players in the league as well as kids like Strome, Reinhart, Pulock Okposo etc. I think he'd likely choose Minnesota but that's provided Minnesota even wants to pay him that type of cash when they're already paying Parise and Suter huge money.
I figure that Snow should gauge what Vanek plans to do asap, tell him the overall plan...ask him to stop laughing, then trade him. - keaner17

If the GM were doing a sell job on him, that sell would include telling him that he can play with one of the best players in the world for next several years, and that the Islanders have several pieces that will allow them to be a contender in the long term.
I realize it's hard looking at the Islanders objectively as a fan of the team right now, but at the same time, they have some really good pieces in that organization. With JT, Strome, Reinhart, Pulock, et. in the system, and if you are luck enough to draft somebody like Ekblad this year, it really doesn't seem like a hard sell to make that the team could be real good.
To be honest, a team with the guys above would scare the beejesus out of me once they begin to develop. - Pete V
The islanders have fired everyone in their development department and so these kids will never develop properly or to their potential. I think that has been the isles biggest (frank) up since Snow has been GM |

I've seen you post enough on the Matt Karash blog to know that you do watch some Canes games but I do understand your wanting to grandstand to your own crowd. |

Of course it's not the only reason but if you heard that how would you feel... It's beyond stupid and the same idiot moulson fan boys that were on his jock while he was stuck on the third line are the same idiots that always rip Okposo apart - Dan Petriw
The franchise is a circus from top to bottom... The fans are the least of a prospective free agents worries.

I forgot to add that Regin is certainly showing some grit! Colin McDonald has shown some character and grit, although he has to keep working hard to improve that +/-
