For me it was trading Lanny cause Punch wanted to show who the boss was around here. |

Bald headed Carl Brewer back on defense in 79/80 after being retired for over 5 years.
Edit: He last played for the Leafs in 1964/1965! |

its really rather simple.. the coach needs his captain to have his back at all times.
if the captain dont care.. the team will never succeed.
Dion need to go because he simply doesnt give his all.. you absolutely cannot have that from your captain.. ever.
RC needs to go because the players are tuning him out...
i hope the pilsbury doughboy sees this. |

Fire Carlyle
Excellent blog Colin. I ve been saying the same thing about the coaching this year in general. It's time for the change before all 18 wheels go off the cliff AGAIN.
What coaching options are out there? - Yeti1181
I agree. We're in a unique position than other teams who have been failing this season in that we're still in a playoff position. Management can try to turn it around and actually keep us in the playoffs as opposed to those teams that fall apart and never even have a chance.
But man, that game last night (and pretty much every night) was disgusting to watch. Like Colin pointed out, Dion hardly skated to try to break up that 2 on 1. |

sadly i dont see the leafs removing Carlyle til the season is over, if at all.
Nonis and he are tight, perhaps removing both is more plausible.. - big_dion
How do you know this? Carlyle was Burke's hire - have Nonis and Carlyle ever worked together before? |

a first and a young roster player with upside.
keeping in mind the first would be mid to late since only a team who feels they were a piece or two away would take him |

How many times last night did a leaf player look at another leaf player expecting him to go get the puck?
It's too bad, Franson COULD'VE gotten us something nice in return
Why don't we shoot?
Phaneuf, where are all the SIGN PHANEUF for whatever he wants fans???
How can we sustain any pressure? Kadri 117lbs Raymond 125lbs Kessel 101lbs
Gardiner 89lbs Rielly 110lbs
You could only have 1 wussy on a NHL team and Kessel it will be.
Trade the rest for some weight |
