They also seem not to understand how hard it is to get what they want done - the competing pressures from the legislatures, the joint chiefs and pentagon, the NSA and Langley, even his cabinet and administrative departments - can't just say "do this" and have it done.

Johnson understood all this, and could have been a top-5 president, had VietNam not interfered. But we like to "hire" non-Washington outsiders who have no idea how national government works, going back to Eisenhower, Kennedy (a back-bencher in Congress), Carter, Clinton, Bush-II, Obama.

Nixon knew how things worked; he was a crook. Reagan had a whole movement behind him - got a lot of what he wanted done.

News flash this country is run by the federal reserve and it is a private institution owned by a few big banks that are owned by the Rothchilds,Rockefellers and JPmorgans of the world
The president is a puppet who does what he is told along with the rest of the crooks in congress.
There is no difference between the two parties and the agenda continues to move forward of a bigger federal government controlling all aspect of our life

I know he was highly thought of coming out of the London knights. Played with alex Broadhurst last year. What amazes me about the Pens is they keep winning with basically all of their top 4 D-Men out with injuries. Even with 3 out it would be amazing. Imagine playing without Keith, Seabs, and Hammer for an extended amount of time?
- tomcat24

Maanta was a # 1. There was speculation whether he would make the team, then if he would stay past the ten gp limit before sending back to junior hockey. The penguins have lots of injuries on defense this year. Don't know if that contributes to Maanta sticking around. Presently Letang and Orpik are out.

Also, penguins have another #1 dman who is a good in puck moving and scoring. This other guy played vs Chg in the exhibition season and impressed with the strength of his game. Penguins want this other guy to make their roster, but they probably will not rush him. Suggest PM to RealWiz or go back to Maata draft year and look at RealWiz scouting report. I think he is a tall defender who could use more weight, but uncertain I can recall exactly the scouting report on Maanta. Defensive dman?

Just saw the Penguins won tonight. Hey tomcat and molly guess who had a goal and two assists. Named.first star. Crosby? Malkin? Nope. None other than Maanta. (Believe it!). Because I do not recall the extravagant, colorful phrases Mike.Lang, the long time penguins announcer, uses in his descriptive jargon..... I'll borrow from the reknown Jack Brickhouse...."holy cow."

Yeah it was pretty impressive. The kids are really stepping up for them. They are without Letang, Martin, Orpik, and I think Scuderi. I think it was Maanta's rookie year in the ohl 2 years ago he had a solid regular season but came out of nowhere in the playoffs as far as bringing offense. They have a bunch of good, young D in Pittsburgh.

Lou was chased from the crease tonight by Dallas. I wonder who we are going to see tomorrow from the nucks.

Miller? seriously?

Where does the cap room come from?

Unless Crawford is going the other way it makes no sense.

I'd just go after Craig Anderson or Tim Thomas If I was Bowman... Miller is like 6.5 - its insane - not possible- not if we want to keep what we have and give raises to guys like Saad who will easily demand 3.5 or get offersheeted like Penner (more like 5)...

That would be a crazy day.....

I don't know why everyone believes Luongo is so great (I'm not saying you do) - what evidence proves that?

Lou was one of those great goalies behind bad defenses. Once he had a decent defense he has issues with the lack of quality shots he had to face. Anderson and Voukoun are a couple of others like that.

Well said, many critical and mocking of this view, to be kind, are not informed as to how the Federal reserve functions. However, suggesting the president is a puppet is not accurate, some act complicity with global elite.

I'd rather stick with the Crawford/Raanta/Labarbera trifecta.
