Agreed. Anyways, the better they do in the regular season, the funnier it'll be when they collapse in the playoffs. - BulliesPhan87

i'm amazed at the amount of comments on fraser's tsn article blaming schenn, saying hit isn't suspension worthy, he has to learn to take a hit, and not turn.
give me a mother(frank)ing break.
if you watch the replay closely, he's looking to play the puck and his chest and head still facing the opposite boards. he never really changes his body position at all, other than to pull up slightly, and wilson hammers him. had he just continued skating wilson still likely would have hit him in the same spot and the result could be have been the same or even worse if schenn's body was in skating stride.
are people honestly saying a player should never have the puck there and play it because there's a CHANCE you could get nailed. the puck is there, the player is there, the puck gets played. if wilson isn't hunting from 25+ feet, there's no issue.
here's an idea: wilson could have tried getting the puck instead of launching schenn into the boards. - hammarby31
Schenn could have been facing Wilson and still been launched into the boards smacking the back of his head with the same force. The fact is Wilson took way too many steps. this isn't a case of a player being up on the boards and turning last second |

Yup, it was a blatant charge. There's only one reason to charge into another player like that and this is to hurt him. That's why Wilson deserves a suspension. |

EXACTLY
It was the charge that was the cause of the danger. He came from halfway across NJ to make that hit. If he had made the same exact hit after taking 2 or 3 strides we are not talking about it at all. |

the pens are a lock, but fleury, not matter how well he's played, is going to have a big monkey on his back for Game 1. if he falters there, look out.... - hammarby31
I wonder if they will trade away assets to acquire vets at the TDL for a cup run again.
Or another goalie.
Or maybe Jagr if the Devils are out of it. |
