Malone for Englelland makes sense. TB needs D, and Pens can use a F. Of course, Pens have no cap room, so that Eklund rumour is like all the others, just rumour.

Sure it's been said many times but that Miller to Chicago rumor is pretty freaking dumb.

They've won 2 Cups in 4 years, I think they've moved past making moves just for "big PR splashes".

I guess Feaster had a deal in place to trade McDonald to Chicago but then got fired.

I agree but what's the return n him?
- FlyersFaithful.

At trade deadline, a bloated return...I'd say he has a lot more value to a team than Paul Gaustas or Martin Erat, and look what Buffalo and Nashville got for those...they'd pot a first rounder easily for Hartnell

As stupid as it seems at first glance, I could see LA going for Thomas...you add Scrivens as the return, and then return Jones to the farm or ship him off for more assets to help your playoff run, with two experienced, Stanley cup winning goalies...but, I still don't see it happening

Really?

In that case I'll choose to believe the final straw for Burke was Feaster violating his sacred December roster freeze.

Um. Ya. You would be adding Beaulieu and a pick to MDZ to even start that convo.
- Iggysbff

If they got MDZ they wouldnt get beaulieu too, its one or the other, but a pick ueah certainly, the avs likely dont want to pay ROR so i can see it working due to that

Why do the Rangers want to trade MDZ so badly and if they want to get rid of him, why is the asking price ridiculously high.

The Habs have so Many Useless players like Gionta, Desharnais, Bourque, Moen, White, White and Diaz, AND they go out and sign a couple of More in Briere and Parros.. Amazing. Also, anyone wondering why Timmins draft picks Beaulieu and Tinordi arent on the big club yet??

no need to rush them if they are not ready. They used to rush players to the big club and people would say that they would of benefited from being in the A. Now they keep them in the A and people complain they are not with the big club.

I'm guessing it's similar with Vancouver fans wanting to trade Edler prior to the beginning of the season - desirable asset, tradeable and they have more pressing needs.

I wouldn't trade Diaz straight up for MDZ, so forget the prospect!

If habs fans can find a little patience this style will look genius in a couple of years, it definetly worked for Detroit

Consider that they drafted Emelin way back in 06 i think and at 26 he came ready and in his prime, theres no need to rush D they'll get their time

He's been plummeting rapidly since 2011-2012. But he is still better than Diaz, in a straight up deal, so a prospect would likely be thrown in with Diaz. But, I wouldn't buy into these rumors because apparently the Rangers turned down a Greening/Gryba package for Del Zotto, a month earlier.
